Well, if one could see that for most of the 2010s, it was super hard to get hold of black colour in mainstream Indian cars. Almost as if there was some unwritten rule that black shall not be offered, even if it meant offering two shades of white or silver. That time, people who wanted black colour couldn't understand why manufacturers were not offering them a choice of black colour.

Now, after TATA's dark edition success, everything from an Alto to an Innova has a black shade option. Whether they are suitable to our climate or not is debatable. At least, they are not forced on people who don't want them, unlike the other fad (sunroof)

For cars that are lagging in sales, it is to get attention from buyers. Their Kaziranga editions were quite popular that way. With Curvv they are doing all sorts of marketing to make people understand that its not a Nexon.

For cars that are having good sales, special editions bring in fresh booking and reduce waiting period especially during festive seasons, everyone is a winner there.

I recently saw the Creta N line black, it was looking amazing, it elevates the vehicle into a higher segment visually. But I will probably never buy black as I drive a lot in the night, there are many who will never buy black for various reasons.

Re: Tata Curvv Review

I haven't seen any Hyperion DCA review in youtube. Not sure if Tata is delivering the Top end Hyperion DCA to customers. Even for test drive, only diesel variant is available when I enquired the showroom.

Re: Tata Curvv Review

The updates from the Dark Edition of the Curvv will be incorporated into the regular Curvv range. This includes sun blinds for the rear occupants and more importantly, dual-zone climate control. It’s expected to be offered on the same top-spec variant with no price change.
