4. Car cleaning stuff: Need a car shampoo and microfiber cloth(s).

Any reliable Glix outlet in South Kolkata? Saltlake is a bit too far. But if all the above are available, I wouldn't mind making the trip.
Also, a cost estimate of the sunfilm would be very helpful
Thanks in advance
Sunfilm-Best to go in for Llumar.

Footmats-Several available in the market.

AntiGlare RVM-I dont think that can be retro fitted.

Car Cleaning Stuff-Get Formula 1 Wash & Wax or Armorall or TurtleWax Shampoo.Armorall Original Microfibre Cloths are also available in the market.

Would suggest you to get in touch with Karan Bhaiya,9830069112 for the Location and Pricing.
The showrooms they have in the south are the Alipore and Rawdon Street ones.

Re: Car Accessories - Marks & Glix (Salt Lake, Kolkata)

A visit to Glix with my new car is pending for sometime. I hope to visit them this week. This thread mentions the Salt Lake outlet. Any reviews on the Rawdon Street outlet, which in fact is nearer to my home?

PS - nowadays there are too many cars on Kolkata roads wearing a Glix sticker!

The Rawdon showroom has shut down.
You can visit the Saltlake/Alipore showroom.

Re: Car Accessories - Marks & Glix (Salt Lake, Kolkata)

Today I visited the Salt Lake showroom. The owner Mr Agarwal was away, the other staff including the manager Mr Raj were very friendly.

Nice showroom. If you are waiting you have chairs to sit and from inside you can keep an eye on the installation work going on in front through the glass wall.

Workmanship is good. The staff know their work and have a professional attitude.

Among the other things I got fitted were keyless entry from Xenos. Rear power windows from Xenos again.

I am glad they could procure the kagu 3d maxpider floor mats for new alto k10 - exactly the brand I wanted. The only grouch was that the mats came in 4 pieces and not 5 - leaving the floor hump at the back bare.

A shiny variety of Lumar sunfilms were put on the glasses, supposed to give it a premium look.

Seat covers from Autoform will be fitted next week. I have informed the design and colour of my choice today.

They should have more stock of electronic accessories I felt. I had to take the parking sensors with IRVM-mounted camera display from a not so known brand called p8 as nothing else was available today. I had expected to find tyvex dupont covers in their store, but no.

P8 is pretty famous all around India.
Probably there are no Tyvex Dupont covers for the Alto available in the market.

Polco does mention Alto K10 on their website. I am weary of ordering online.

PS - now I have two keys. The original car key and the Xenos remote key. I think I read on this forum a DIY method to combine two such keys into one. Any insights on how to go ahead? Glix staff told me they can't do it.

I finally got the covers fitted day before yesterday. Glix has done a very neat job. Absolutely form-fitting covers. I must also add that the Autoform seat covers have been a real good buy. My 2014 Alto K10 is looking much more premium now with those covers on. Very happy with the product and the fitting.

I also wanted to install a center armrest. Glix told me is not possible to install it in Alto K10 because there is no place to drive the screws in. I had to agree with them once they showed me how the center console is in the car.

Re: Car Accessories - Marks & Glix (Salt Lake, Kolkata)

I had used the services of Marks & Glix back in 2012 when we decided to fit a remote locking sensor in our Zen Vxi. Sameek was not physically present in the showroom but he advised me to go for Xenos brand. The work done was neat and the moolah charged was less from other shops as well. Good work by the team!

Re: Car Accessories - Marks & Glix (Salt Lake, Kolkata)

Just to add to what everyone has been saying, I got my new Jazz decked up at Glix Saltlake.

Got Autoform seat covers for 8k which was 9.5k at the Honda dealer. The plug and play DRL lights were 6k while similar ones were $135 on ali express and got floor stills for Rs1200. Top notch service, gave my car a clean up and gave my tyres a shine before handing over. Will share pictures soon and pat on the back for one of the best car accessory shop in town and no pressure buying, buy what you want.

Generic car accessories showroom. This is the 'Glix' part of the business.
The 'Marks' portion handles the used car business.

Hi, Shuvc, i wanted to get aux and usb connection for my Honda Civic 2007 AT model, but Glix Alipore refused, can you or any body recommend any other car accessory shop in kolkata who can do this.
I also have the required device/ interface, they just need to do the connection.

Thanks

Thanks for all the information, I came up this thread while searching for car mods at Kolkata. If you can kindly confirm whether they have done (or can do) retrofitting of projector headlamps in Linea, it would be very helpful.

I will probably visiting Kolkata next month and if possible I would like to get this done during the visit.

If you can share Karan's mobile no. then I can directly contact him.
