Will not talk more lets the pics say.Sorry about the clarity as the pics are taken from my cell.

Hope to get more clear pic on the weekend and more updates.

Saleem

Saleem,

The car is looking much better in this newer garage, honestly. I wasn't so sure when I saw your last update in yellow primer in the previous garage as many areas looked to me like they needed a lot more attention. But in this set of pics, everything seems to be on a different and much better level of workmanship

Please do update further when you can, I'm looking forward to it.

Best Regards
Prithvi

Hi Prithvi,

Ur absolutely right after moving here things have changed and I have replaced the entire metal on the car in order to get in shape. Hope my efforts come right. As you mentioned getting better level of workmanship is very tough now a days.

Re: My 1956 Fiat Millecento Restoration

Saleem bhai i am relieved after viewing those pics, finally a great amount of progress on the car after such a long gap. I wish there are no further delays & the restoration gets completed soon. Can't wait to see the final outcome as you have already got almost all the jewellery( cosmetic bits) to make it look great.

Re: My 1956 Fiat Millecento Restoration

Long time Saleem,
I sincerely suggest that you first work on mechanicals and then go for the cosmetic work.
If you have original headlight then nothing like it but for alternate try RX100 (Yamaha) bike's lights. You made need to do some tinkering around that but the result is awesome.

Raab rakha.

Sonu Bhai things are moving parallel will post the mechanical pics as well, the thing is i don't want to stop this at any cost and the only problem here is skilled labor.

Re: My 1956 Fiat Millecento Restoration

Hi Saleem, like to know if you have any idea about this mild acid wash to remove the paint. i tried it on my bonnet it did come out well, but don't know whether it will have any after effects on the metal body. it did get oil primer coating after the paint removal. Mr Karl, need your advice on this also.

A slight suggestion here :

With the letters in chrome- I would prefer that the number plate background be black. Instead of the present 'white'.

It would make the car look a lot more 'authentic'

Very well restored- Congrats!

And the registration is as old as the car- from the mid Fifties! Very nice indeed. The smaller headlamp is PRESENT. Gawd; those are as rare as hen's teeth!

Components of the grille- the slats are missing. But still; very well restored.

Cya
