Thanks, the engine breast plate is missing right now since the A/C compressor is fitted and since the Belt runs through the plate, we have removed them, need to do a little modification on it to fit, but for sure we are fitting them.

Usuallly these Big Block engines are sent as Turn-key engines, its not that easy to start them, they come with loads of added extra's, The External Oil filter and the External Oil Cooler. The biggest problem we faced was the absence of the Plumbing for the same, They sadly never came with the kit and that left us to get them fabricated locally, smart as my mechanic is, we got it right in time before firing the engine and now the only thing pending to start the test run of the car is the Control Pedals, which should arrive via Jalopy Shop ( thebulletboy-Pankaj ) very soon.

The car is now with the A/C mechanic, expecting it to come back in couple of days.

Air-conditioning work Done, Mechanicals 100% done, Now the car is at the electrician.

All the local and cheap wiring earlier now are ripped off and will make way for brand new wiring looms from FINOLEX.

One question. Can this engine take the Delhi summer at 47 degees centigrade without a problem ? Given that it is air-cooled.

Usually any Air-cooled VW's can take Delhi's 47 Degrees without a hitch, only thing is, it has to be Tuned well, more-over this particular engine has an external oil cooler placed under the car with an active Fan running all the time, so we will not have any issues to say.

The car is finally D.E.L.I.V.E.R.E.D Errr...! infact Exchanged. My Beetle goes to his house and i get this home to do the initial Running-In

Lots of respect for you man. I've been following your builds ever-since i started visiting TBHP. I'm coming to you whenever my sleeper build is gonna start but as of now it's just in my wishlist.

Is this the engine kit you chose for the monster?
1183 Builder's Choice Engine Kits - 150 HP 2110cc
If so, is it an entirely new engine or a beef-up job on the original VW motor? Can it be fitted in some way on the bus?

Hope you could do something about that muffler hanging down at the back. And please do try black mudflaps too. Might look meaner. It's coming out really well. All the best.

I have been a silent admirer of this build & salute the perseverance of the Bugstop team to turn this Monster restoration bug into a Super Beetle.
To me each & every aspect of this car is a piece of art be it cosmetic work or mechanicals.
I am sure it will be putting a lot of cars to shame when it completes the Running in period.

Hmm... let me see, if i can dig out few for you.

Some more pics of the Monster in action today, put in 100 kms today, and the Car is Awesomely Amazing. Only thing thats a let down are the huge vibrations that travel through the chassis of the car from the Growling Engine.
