Credits to @rohit_paradkar on Instagram. Lots of unseen Mercs are popping up in Mumbai, I'm guessing it's for the rally at the end of this month!

A 280CE. Not many of them around here! The caption suggests it was supposed to be ready for the Autocar India Classic Mercedes-Benz Drive, but since the car didn't turn up, looks like it's still being restored.

Witness the safety and ruggedness of the W123 chassis, demonstrated as this Mercedes is driven OFF A CLIFF!

The W123 protected President Singh during the anti- Sikh riots in late 1984.

Invoice Copy For MB W123

Was wondering if any fellow motorhead has an Original Invoice for a Mercedes Benz 300D - 1982 Model W123. Need a copy of one to calculate the registration and road tax as records at RTO go back only upto 1985. RTO has been giving me the run around for two months, but have finally agreed to use a copy of another similar make/model for this calculation. Thanks in advance. Cheers.

Re: The Mercedes W123 Archive: Pics, Videos & Reviews

Found this car at a car detailing centre near my home. Belongs to the owner of Royal Enfield dealership in Kottayam.(BTW he has got many vintage Mercedes cars in his collection). The car looks amazing in this colour and it was restored beautifully by the owner. I don't know whether these wagons/estates are rare in India but this is the first time I have seen a vintage Mercedes Wagon ( Automatic transmission also). Interior also in in pristine condition.

They are very desirable and were the first estate cars available. Perfect for the 1970s/ 80s German familie and their luggage.

One of the best classic estates / stationwagon I have come across. Looks extremely fresh out of the factory. If you notice these US models, the grille design is carried into the headlights as well. On any of today's cars, it would look weird and whacky. But on the Merc, it was a style statement.

Here are 2 more W123s I have come across. The estate is from the Subhash Sanas (A visit to Subhash Sanas Vintage Car Museum, Pune) museum and the other was spotted in Mumbai.

Gentlemen, thank you for keeping this most desirable thread alive and for those video clips on page 1. The W123, W114 and W111 were to my eyes the acme of post-war Mercedes design and for 3 decades represented class and regal status to two generations. Oh how I wish that Mercedes of today designed its cars with less sporty youthfulness and more regality. When I occasionally see a W123 go by it seems like the king of the car jungle striding graciously and powerfully saying 'I don't need to show off, everyone knows who I am'. And of course the reliability and ruggedness.

More photos will be received with appreciation.

Re: The Mercedes W123 Archive: Pics, Videos & Reviews

Recently, I changed my car detailer. We don't have many options in my C-grade Town Anand(Gujarat). Spotted this well-maintained Mercedes W123 300D at my new car detailer's place.
