It is legend that Bahawalpur had two Cadillac V-16's .

This is the Lancefield / Van den Plas car

A V-16 currently seems to be under restoration. Not sure if this is the "other twin" or BWP-133. Seems to have the same Lancefield features, including the retractable steps.

Note one Grebel and one non-standard headlamp.

And what happened to those beautiful treads on the tyres (car still seems to have only 8000+ miles)

The second V16 indeed is a legend or most likely a phantom car ! No pics have ever surfaced of it so far.

Maybe Mohsin Ekram can confirm if there really were two or only one !

Great Travancore. Love the videos. Notice the portholes in the garage where the car was started. Kinda cool. One of our members Shyml who has a 1930 Packard 740, should be able to throw more light on this car as he's mentioned somewhere that he's in the process of recommissioning a 1930 452 V-16 for a friend which was last started in the 60's. I'm now certain it's this car 133. Maybe the old tyres got hard, I've seen it happen in 15 or 20 years on a rim. But no idea why such worn tyres on the car. Maybe they found some second hand tyres for the moment. Clock has been removed.

Thank you . I would say ty ought have replaced the tyres for safety and trial issues. The lights seem to have been changed also. The original ones must have been kept aside safely. I would suggest to write to the Pakistan club for more details . Lovely Videos and thanks for sharing .

Okay so we snooped around yesterday and today and we found out that the car is in Lahore. Probably sold about 6 months ago. Also found a video of a new channel which covered Bahawalpur and in it saw two pics of the Amir posing in front of this car. It didn't have the headlamps. These seem recent pics.
Travancore I feel that maybe there is a way to extract these pics from the news video. :)
I also heard the glass winder was restored in Karachi three days ago. By the by this is the BWP 133. Only one V 16 there.

It is WCB-40 - ex- Mysore / Bharatpur as far as I know. Did it go to Karauli as well ?

Ironically I'd been to Umedh Bhavan so many times while at Jodhpur where we had lived in the late 80s. But never got to see a single classic of the Royals there! :(
