1932 Plymouth PB Seven Passenger Delux Sedan

Yes that's Sreepathi's garage. One of the worst place for such cars to go.
I've never seen cars coming out in ONE piece since a looooong time.
Many such exotic cars have found its burial ground there in the recent past.:Frustrati
Request you to please focus on the car and the detailed note on the same. I would request you to restrain giving personal views not related to the car off this tread as want all the enjoy this car to the fullest. The car will be fully ready next week and will post the picture soon.
That is a very interesting car. It looks remarkably well preserved with only surface rust evident.
The interiors too look to be unmolested. The dash with all the meters in place is a work of art. The upholsty too looks to be original.
What kind of roof did this car have originally, was it a folding kind as the gap suggests something like that or was it a fabric roof.
Some more details on it would be appreciated.
What colour scheme have you chosen ? Why don't you upload pics of the cars restoration too?

That is indeed a lovely car you have.It would be nice to see some pics of restoration along with details if possible.What are the jobs did have to get done?I would also like to ask you where is this garage where you getting this beauty restored as i can see some more cars in the background so would love to make a trip down one day to see those cars as well.

Any idea of how the restoration is progressing and completion date?
I have never seen anything like this in Canada or any of my trips to various car show in the U.S. A Rare car indeed.

Although I'm no expert on pre-war vintages, the car does look reasonably complete to me.
Do tell us the story behind it if possible.
I do hope you have read the word document which details in full the Plymouth PB Story. (Please see word attachement below the first set of photos for those who may have missed it). The car is rare because the PBs were produced between Feb-Sept 1932 and only 2179 numbers of Seven Passenger Sedans were produced
The roof is layer of wire mesh, cotton wool and black rexine
on top for water proofing. We will look to maintain originality as far as possible.
The colour we have choosen for this car is inspired from the Plymouth PB Convertible at the Walter P Chrysler Museum. I have attached the same for your reference.
Some time back, a looooong while ago, 3-4 cars were restored with some good set of mechanics at his place.
The END , thats it, now that place is actually a resting ground for few exotic cars.
I only commented in the interests of that wonderful car you are restoring.
I have seen many cars being trucked away in shambles, which actually came full. All frustrated owners who saw their cars go to ground year by year.
I have seen quite a few of my friends struggle for years to get their cars out of his place in one piece, never been succesful though.
I myself have helped my friend pull out and restore one such lovely car sometime back. My other friend is still trying his level best to pull out his 3 cars with the help of my mechanic the last 5 days.
Anyways, i hope the car sees the road clocking miles not Dust.

That Plymouth is a single owner gem of a car. I have been driven around in it on a few occassions and it never ceased to amaze me how original and totally immaculate this car is.
There was a late twenties Plymouth tourer in a workshop in old city which had been dieselised .
If you are going to do justice to a restoriation it would normally take 18 to 24 months and going by what the gent said its ready and will be participating in an upcoming event.
Look forward to seeing detailed pictures of the car and its interiors and the engine bay.
Did you have to import tires for it ?
Is the car still on the six volt setup ? Did it need much work on the body as by the looks of it it doesn't seem to need much.
