The Riding Gear thread

Note from the Team-BHP Support Team: For queries and posts related to helmets please post here.

For all other riding gear such as jackets, boots, etc. please use this thread.

There was a thread by Rtech on the same subject - protective gear.

xcusi - that thread talked about the importance of riding gear. This one is about discussing one's own gear, so it is different.

Wow, nice gear you guys have. Am surprised (and happy) that riders in India wear good gear. But dont you guys feel uncomfortable in that gear, vis-a-vis a pair of jeans, a windcheater, lightweight gloves and sports shoes?

Thanks . The collection is only going to get bigger. The only thing I don't have is riding pants/knee protection. Thats next on my list.

I find it very comfortable because I make sure I buy the right size. Riding jackets should fit as snug as possible. Besides, I don't wear all this(except the helmets)in the city unless its winter because I cant stand cold weather. For summer, I have the mesh jackets and gloves. This is mainly for the long rides out of town. Sometimes, if its going to be a long ride within the city, I do wear the jackets and gloves.

Don't worry, I'll get one. I've bought all this in anticipation of one in the first place. It's not something you can hurry into. So which one are you planning for?
