after i walked out of the hospital(barely), me and my dad n mom went to the place where the accident happend and gave jalebis to the people of the nearby huts into whose yard the car fell, who were amongst those who helped me to the hospital, and coincidentally we found out that the little girl was fine, she belonged to the people who were selling tender coconuts on the roadside....

i can assume what is going through you ,especially when you were talking of your parents support.because i was also involved in an accident in 2002 jan 26th midnight at cochin and the car was a cielo, totalled as it rammed into a bus-superfast and was in flames.cutting it short i was stuck for almost 3 months and then returned to normal life and was a new man atleast when i drive the car.i was taking things for granted before and felt that all the things are in control and it is a matter of one hand and 2 foot buisness.now i realise the facts and more cautious .

Torqueguru, your story is nothing short of divine intervention.
Good to know that you have fought the battle against ill luck, and made it out with what ever you had.
Boy! If not anything else, this thread sure reminds me of the games life plays with us. The least we can do is to be careful & vigilant on the roads.

Read in today's Hindustan Times
This happened yesterday morning at Bhandup on the Eastern Express Highway. There was a tanker watering plants along the divider. A speeding Qualis rammed into it, overturned and hit by a fast moving Scorpio. The Scorpio overturned too. All 7 occupants of the Scorpio escaped with minor injuries. The driver of the Qualis, a 60 year old businessman, died.
I've come across this sort of negligent parking by tankers many times, mostly on the Western Express Highway. There's no warning sign put up. There you are, gradually moving into the overtaking lane to pass a slower vehicle and a motionless tanker welcomes you. Can be terrifying.
