How has your experience been on road conditions and places you visited vis-a-vis on what you planned?

Hi,

I am planning for an Assam-Meghalaya 10 day trip. An approximate trip plan which I put together is shared below. I will be renting a self drive Creta SX automatic IVT(petrol) from Phuphugadi.
Please let me know if you can help me on the following:
1. The plan and its practicality
2. The plus/drawbacks of the particular model of car in this terrain (Is IVT a derivation of automated manual transmission or CVT or DCT? Does it come with a hill decent control? If so, I have never used it and needs input on anything to be aware of)
3. Any comments about the places where we are staying
4. Good food joints I should be trying

Day 1 Guwahati airport to check in at Infiniti Resort, Kaziranga
Day 2 Visit to Kazaringa park
Day 3 Visit to Panikhaiti, Sualkuchi
Day 4 Vacating Infiniti Resort and check-in at Kaziranga golf resort, afternoon visit to Hoollongapar+tea factory
Day 5 Visit to Majuli
Day 6 Check out Kaziranga golf resort to homestay in Shillong
Day 7 Visit to Cherrapunji, Mawlynnong
Day 8 Visit to Dawki
Day 9 Visit to Umiam lake, Local sight seeing in Shillong
Day 10 Check-out from homestay to Guwahati airport
