It is good. But not value for money at all. We have stayed there too. Good to go if company sponsors

Planning a two day trip with family this weekend.

Please suggest a better place either 'Coorg' or 'Chikmaglur' (this season) ?

Suggestions on resort / homestays are welcome.

Both are going to be "warm",Coorg should be more pleasant though than CKM at the moment.

Both are equally good places and depends on what you want to do.

Coorg is better if you want to see some wildlife, waterfalls, temples and offcourse plantation

When you say Coorg, are you referring to Madikeri? in Coorg you can stay in Kushalanagar, Dubare, Ponnampet, Madikeri, Close to Moornadu etc.

Not right now. Things are always cool in the mornings and evenings - and over the last couple of days, have gotten cooler with some clouds and a breeze coming in. There's some expectations of showers in the next couple of days - at least around the Charmadi Ghats area in Chikmagalur. I got back only this morning from our place, and spoke to our guy in Coorg, so this info is pretty fresh. The valleys were actually very misty as the bus crossed them late at night.

And the food in both places is yummy!

If Coorg, do NOT go to Madikeri. The real countryside is out there, not in or near the towns. And don't bother with "sightseeing" - the best way is to just absord the place at its slow and easy pace, do walks, a trek perhaps, and sit back and read a book or two
