It is correct. I am not sure of food options between Indore and Shivapuri. Between Shivapuri and Jhansi, there are no good options. After Jhansi, several are there. Dedar Resort is one, 25-30 kms from Jhansi. Then Prabhu dhaba on Orai bypass. There is a new Sarovar Portico before Orai (hope it is functional now).

Hello All,

I am planning a solo drive from Pune to Lucknow on the coming weekend (January, 26).
Car - Ignis K12B Manual
Passengers - None

I have done multiple long drives in the past, but this is going to be my first solo trip.

Plan is to leave Pune early by 05:00 max and take the Pune->Nasik->Dhule->Indore->Guna->Jhansi->Kanpur->Lucknow route.

From what I have come to understand from the posts above is

• I can reach Indore by 15:00, if I start early from Pune. (P.S. - I stay in Kharadi and will go via Nashik Phata, Rajguru Nagar, Sangamner towards Nashik)
• The best route for Indore to Lucknow is via Jhansi.
• The stretch is best avoided after dark.

Please help me on the below points.
1. If I reach Indore by 3:00 PM, is it advisable to push further for another, say, 200 kms. If yes, will it be safe considering a 30 year old IT chap who only *has* a baseball bat in the car?
2. Alternatively, is it possible to seek the blessings of Mahakal / Omkareshwar without taking a considerable detour on day 1 and still start early from on day 2.

I am open to any other suggestions/tips from the members before I embark on my maiden solo drive.
