Thank You,

Vailathur to KOzhichena via Kuttipala or via Karinkappara is recommended?

Both are good. Earlier the route via Karinkapara was not that great, now it is relaid and smooth. Time wise I guess not much of a difference.

50kmph?? and the overspeeding tickets will be of Rs.1500 if it's above 50KMPH??

That is correct. This byepass is in fact 4 lane and right after the frustrating 2 lane drive from Edappally till Kodungalloor, and it used to be a stretch of reckless speeding when it was opened.

No other cameras on this route. Till Kodungallur, you will hardly able to cross 50kmph during most of the day time.

Re: Calicut - Trivandrum - Calicut Route Updates

Update from JOurney on 23rd Jan (Saturday) early morning:

Roads from Edapally via Paravur Kodungallur Chavakkad POnnani Chamravattam Tirur Kozhichena is laid well. Narrow roads are the only problem in these stretches, especially till Kodungallur. have seen a few cameras but never seen them flashing at all, don't know if they stopped flashing but still get the speeds recorded, will have to see if there are any fines awaiting me.

Overall it was an experiment from my side when traveling between Kochi and Calicut, since I used to take the NH and via Angalamy-Thrissur town to reach till Calicut always and found its still the best option to drive via Angamaly-Trissur itself even if its early morning.
