May and June, I should plan Ramagundam.

i have just passed through yemmiganur and i did not see much distruction caused by the floods in this town although i have not stayed in mantralayam you dont need to come down till here for lodging as i could see lots of new lodges in mantralayam itself. Road conditions are good except small stretches being laid with cement.

Re: Hyderabad - Mantralayam Route Query

Was in Mantralayam yesterday. The road updates.
Hyderabad-Mahbubnagar - Good roads
Mahbubnagar- Raichur - Good road but occasional pot holes and very sharp curves at 2 places night driving has to be careful in this stretch.
Raichur - Mantralayam - bad roads different variety of potholes available, the bridge on Tungabadra river is under construction mud and gravel road on the river bed. 40kms almost took 1.30hrs.
Return journey.
Mantralayam- Yemminganur - good roads.Yemminganur no bypass will have to ask for the routes.
Yemminganur - Kurnool - good roads
Kurnool-Hyderabad - four laned
The route from Mantralayam-Kurnool-Hyderabad is about 40kms more than via Raichur.

Hi All

Planning a Mantralayam trip this weekend, which route is the best under current road condition?

Planning to hit ORR by 5:00 in the morning, would plan a night halt if possible.

Regards
Raghu

Best route would be Hyderabad - Kurnool - Yemmeganoor - Mantralayam. This route is little longer but my colleague went 3 weeks back and his feedback this is better than the Mahboobnagar route.

Regards,
It was pretty good at the time I visited it, bit bumpy though. Please check the latest conditions, not sure how the state is after the limited rains we have/had.

While returning I took Raichur root as my friend insisted and it was a wrong decisson, no road at all from Mantralayam till Raichur.

.If you are travelling in the day after Jadcherla travel upto bhuthpur and take
the turn towards Mahbubnagar as this route bypasses city traffic.
Mahabubnagar-Raichur is decent occasional potholes huge speedbreakers near
the villages. From Raichur the last stretch of about 7-8kms is bad before you
reach the newly constructed bridge.

If want to travel via Kurnool
The road from Kurnool - Kodumur has a lot of potholes as road widening is going on.Kodumur-Mantralayam is decent road.
