Pune - Kashid : Route Queries

If you are with a family, it is advisable to take the Express Highway--> Alibaug--> Kashid route. While there is no doubt that the Tamhini- Roha road is good and scenic, the stretch within Phasad Wildlife Sanctuary is a small single lane and the forest gets pretty dense at places.

We are a group of 4 friends planning a trip soon to Kashid in Dec first week and would like to know the current road condition. I also would like to know if taking a KL registration car will invite any hassles although the paperwork is all neat and complete.
