Based on current road conditions - what would be the best route to Jog from Hyd ? Good roads preferred - doing mind doing extra 50-100 kms for smooth tarmac..

Hyderabad-Hubli-Yellapur-Sirsi-Jog.

Now for Hyderabad-Hubli look at Hyd-Goa thread to get the latest.
Hyderabad-Raichur is decent. I hear of many speedbreakers on the bypass.
(this is as per what I read)

At Koppal you join NH63 to Hubli. The Same NH continues all the way to Yellapur where you get off to a SH to Jog via Sirsi.

Re: Route condition - Hyderabad to Jog falls

From Jog - Assuming we have 1 full day - is it worthwhile to drive to Gokarna Beach in Aug ? & then drive back to Hubli ..
What would be the best route & approx timings for the Jog - Gokarna Beach - Hubli trip ? Or would it be too much driving to cover in a day - given the fact that the next day is planned from Hubli to Hyd ?

Or rather spend time around Jog on the way back visiting waterfalls like Unchalli falls, Magod falls, etc...How are the road conditions to these waterfalls ?

You can visit Gokarna the same day starting early and then drive to Hubli by evening. I hope you take a break there.

This seems more enterprising to (Sirsi/Yellapur/Magod/Unchalli/Sathodi).
But you may not be able to cover all. However the choice is yours as to what you want to cover (Waterfalls or other places)
