Its your choice : Verna CRDi or Fiesta ?

Guys, I am confused buying a diesel car, i am stuck up with two choices:

Verna CRDi ?
or
Fiesta ?

My brain is not working at all.....so now it will be you deciding on your poll of replies. Which car do you find will fulfill my needs :

- Performance
- Low Maintainance Cost
- Service Back-up
- Comfort (specially long drives)

So please help me out guys and get me the ONE!

Sure we'll have a nice party!!!!

CHEERS!

No second thought as for me. Its fiesta and i can bet on that 'cause I have been driving one since last 6 months! the only case where verna might do better will be the maintenance cost in the long run. i am not sure of that either. But i guess thats a small price to pay when all others are far superior. all the best.

Verna
Verna (slightly lower)
Verna
Fiesta (front and back ) , Verna ( front better ) - fiesta I think is more cramped than verna

I presume you mean fiesta diesel, since you mention verna crdi
Among the diesels
Performance : Verna Crdi wins
Low Maintenance cost : Hyundai's are cheap to maintain, don't know about Fiesta, though many owners are happy
Service backup : Hyundai is better
Comfort : Never sat in the Fiesta, as for Verna its an extremely comfortable car to drive. If you like twisties, it rolls more than fiesta, but if you are looking at ride comfort the soft suspension ensures none of the bumps on the road come to the cabin. A mag had a East coast to west coast ride in 5 midsizers including verna and fiesta, and for bumpy roads, gave verna a thumbs up.

So based on your criteria, Verna crdi beats the Fiesta diesel.
If you bring in other things like Ex showroom price, things may change.

I suggest Verna CRDI, I have been travelled a lot in it and I found it as one of the best diesel engine by sheer performance. The only draw back is it's not feature rich compare to it's 1.6 petrol version.

Its Fiesta for me! It is a drivers car.
Read GTO's review on the test drive report.

Go for the service package that Ford offers you, it would help to save on maintenance.

Performance wise, the Verna outscores. As an overall package, i think it would be the Fiesta in the lead, looks included.

I would agree with NC here the Verna takes the first 3 criteria by a mile! But yes the Fiesta is a bit better on the confort front. Have you test driven both?

Man servicing cost of fiesta and verna is almost same. Vena is not cheap to maintain as accent. Where as on performance + service backup + Comfort (just a little bit) verna wins.

Fiesta's 68bhp cannot compete with Verna's 110bhp on the highway, but when & if 1.6TDCi with 90bhp is launched, there should not be much advantage over here...in the city, it doesn't matter much

Don't know about Verna, but Fiesta is really good in comfort at cruising speeds even though it feels THUMPY in slow speed drives (i have 1.4TDCi Fiesta). The handling is brilliant and the steering feel quite reassuring

But if you drive yourself, enjoy spirited driving (you know what i mean ) its definitely Fiesta for you, even though i wish Ford would bring the 1.6TDCi soon...how many customers have they lost to Hyundai (vis-a-vis Verna) on that parameter alone

I would say, if you like spirited driving ( i decided on my car purely on that aspect), i think verna driving will be definetly more spirited than fiesta.

I would go this way: If you do more of city then its Fiesta. If you do more of highway, then its Verna.

I wouldnt usually suggest any hyundai to anyone and verna wouldnt have been an exception.

But the crdi motor is just excellent. Nothin has yet come in its way in the same segment. Hyundai again is the 3rd largest car maker and service and customer satisfaction are pretty high.

verna is the current accent in the world market and has not been received as positively as the current accent we have in India (Correct me if I am wrong)

But fiesta is a better design overall. Its more about crusing comfortably.

I would suggest.

Verna for a proper car
Fiesta for a proper commuter.

Here's a word from someone who doesn't know cars technically that much, but is a happy Verna user.
Go for it.
