Performance car within 5 - 7 lacs?

At given budget you can go for Aveo 1.4 LS its a good car if you can strech then fiesta or NHC waiting for you.

Between Optra & Aveo, do they share the same gear box? I TD both Aveo & Optra but somehow felt Aveo gear box better ? Is it just me or they are really different?

^^ Well Shankey as far as i know, Optra and Aveo both used to have a very bad gear shift. However, its only in the Aveo that they changed the gear shift after complaints. So most probably as of now Aveo has a better gear shift than the Optra.

NHC, aveo, 1.4 fiesta are the exact opposite for performance. Under 7 lakhs if you want a performance car stick to the Palio Stile 1.6 from the production cars.

If you want an out of production car, consider the OHC Vtec or the baleno with engine mods. Unless you decide to up the budget.

^^Finding a used RS in decent, accident free condition in 7 lacs is a herculean job.

Palio 1.6 : Used - 2 to 3lacs, New - 5+
OHC Vtec : Used - 4 to 5+lacs
Baleno : Used - around 4+

I think best choice would be a OHC vtec, if you buy it for 5 lacs you can spend some money on its modification. later maintaining wont be expensive.
i dont think you dont have to worry about the performance of a modded vtec

Its either the second hand RS at 7L or a brand new Palio 1.6 at 5L. With the RS, you get 50 horses more than the Palio and a lot more fun as well.But you also need to face atleast 3 times the maintainance costs for the RS.Assuming you are ready for that, RS is a no-brainer. Second hand VTECs, Balenos or the regular City 1.5 are good options as well, but you'd need to hunt for a low mileage-well kept car.

well my advice is look for a well kept OHC vtec which you can get for 4-5 lacs and use the extra cash for alloys and better tyres ,performance parts , ICE etc.

If u get an used RS for your budget there nothing like it in terms of performance.
U can also look at some cheaper options like OHC VTEC/ Baleno & use rest of the money for modding it.
