Logan - DLE

Hi all,

After much consideration and a lot of TD's. I have booked a Mahindra Logan DLE (Base model) - Silver Mist colour ( New colour choice in the DLE range)

Actually wanted to go in for an Indigo DICOR LS.

I had done the test drive of the Logan earlier coinciding with its launch and had commented negatively on its interiors in the forum.

But the day before yesterday we(myself and Tifosikrishna)took an Indigo DICOR LX(Top model in Indigo) for a testdrive and were dumbstruck by the amount of engine noise that was intruding into the car. The sound was like some continuous machine gun fire and a loud one at that. I have driven the TDI model of Indigo (Have a TDI and Xeta in the family) and the NVH levels are no where near the TDI.

The torque was good. But the engine noise was toooooooooo much.

Trust me, i spent a sleepless night on monday comparing the virtues of Indigo and Logan and came to a conclusion that i could live with Logan better than the Indigo.

And the Logan it was for me. Thanks to Tifosikrishna for enduring with me.

On road price of 6,10,072 chennai, India Garage Mount road. Delivery around end of next week. Expect pictures around that time.

Congarts bud. I see a lot of Logans down here in Chennai... I think it's certainly better than an Indigo. I shudder to think about owning a brand from a company that's mostly popular with taxi drivers.

congrats pug,

it took me almost 3 years to convince you to buy a new car. i failed in the first instance, but persevered, i had to really persuade you not to buy a second hand car again. finally what matters is that it paid off.

i am sure you have made the right decision and hope you enjoy your long drives with the new steed.

hey pugram, I hope you are aware of the DLX which is a new model in the Logan. it has more features and is slotted in between the DLE and DLS.

Do enquire about that if not already. It's good VFM.

Yes..I dumped my peugeot a few months back.. maintenance (though not killing) was taking too much of my time and reliability became an issue ..

@Mpower "You have a thing for French cars dont you?" I think this is a coincidence.. and the looks are almost similar to the 309

The difference between the DLE and DLX model is Power windows / Central Locking / Headrests for the Rear seats for a price difference of 60k.. Did not think this was worth and hence chose the DLE model.

Again thanks
