Don't worry Frank. I'm sure Autocar did not use your car for the Chennai track day testing of the ABS and handling of the 1.6S model.

Congrats Frank, that was a wise decision of choosing S over the ZXi. Great choice of color too but for this particular car, the Impreza blue would have been on top of my list.

This one actually works. Use the table on this website, alongwith the built in decoder to get an idea of which year.

Congrats Frank. Its a real deal you got there. Now let the enticing photos flow. Somehow I had a feeling that you would not chose any other colour than white, and its so true ! White on S is a head turner for sure. The VIN link is still giving me wrong infos by the way !

As for the mirror, can you point me to it. I can't see that in the pictures mate.
Sorry mate meant the antenna. It was little late in the night you see

Your VIN Decoded

The VIN code MAJBXXMRJB9Pxxxx breaks down as

Body type: 3 Door Hatchback
Shouldn't that be 4 Door Sedan?

I liked the blue, but over the long term I thought the white would age better alongwith me. I will be entering my thirties with this car. This will complement the age better.

I would have chosen the blue too. ANYDAY, but the white looked great too. In a less boy-racerish way. I think it looks subtle sporty. Whatsay?

Cheers. Let open our own Fiesta lovers club. Like the legendary OHC people! Our car is more limited than them, and is definitely more legendary than the OHC. After driving both, I can say the OHC was a legend in its time, and the Fiesta S is definitely a legend for its time.

I will be posting photos now, only when I get the delivery. The warehouse is almost 'out of mumbai' and I don't want to go there again and increase my anxiousness to get the car faster. The VIN link is totally not wrong. The month and year are showing fine. That's what is helpful.

Yea, the antenna is removable. You scared me about the mirror. I thought your eagle eyes spotted something in the photos, I couldn't see in reality! I zoomed into all photos and scrutinized. LOL.

A drive to Goa is on the priority list. Let's see how the profession allows me.

Thank you jerish. I changed my mind umpteen times about whether I was going in for the S or the ZXi, but eventually don't even think about the Z, since I drove the S again, and the white one looks heavenly!

That's what i thought as well until i figured, its a european decoder! (as per the info on the website)

So, i really think that bit on the VIN is referring to the new fiesta hatchback on the european roads!!

The sticker has been wiped off due to the rains. It will read -

"The Best Drivers car this side of 10 lacs" - Autocar.

Congrats Frankie. Now for the parties to begin.

1) Booking party
2) Your inspection party
3) Your car's 1st pictures party
4)......
5).......
