congrats for your new car mclaren . . . this is getting so monotenous now guys, every third-fourth car on the forum is a baleno.

why not change the rubber right away considering you'll pay hardly anything compnared to what you would pay after running the car for a couple if thousand kms?

manson.

Yes, please get better suspension for track! And different tyres! I just went for a drive in the year's first rain (hooray!) and my car is sliding about like a drunk monkey on ice. It locks up from 40 kmph and drifts like a Japanese anime video...

Ok , the thing is im not racing on the track .. I know track suspension and better tyres will always help me better on track .. But the point being , i can work on the suspension and tyres by then but by going on track i will only be destrying the thread wear on these tyres .. And more over now that i aint doing any engine mods (until i come back from track day) i dont think i can run the car in with 15'' ..

So id still prefer to run on track with the stock suspension and tyres ..

congrats on your new set of wheels, mclaren...a very sound decision indeed to go in for a new car...good luck tinkering....

p.s- i'm extremely amused, bemused and dumbfounded at the idea of r****g the car straight out of the showroom...i've never seen a civilian do it...only the motorsport guys...kudos...

Hey mclarren,

Congrats on the car!
Since you plan to take it to the highway & track, (even after doin 2000km) just watch out for "green" brake fade. It happens with new pads.
Google it and drive safe.
