I saw a Scorpio in Chennai with a Team BHP sticker at the back and a political party's flag was fluttering on the hood of the car. Very disappointing sighting. The Scorpio was honking excessively and nearly ran down pedestrians on GST road.

Tamil Nadu has an endemic problem with SUVs and MUVs (and even hatchbacks and Scootys these days) bearing political parties' flags. These vehicles bully their way through the roads at very high speeds and they don't stop for red lights, tolls etc.

Team BHP is synonymous with safe driving and a flag-bearing SUV isn't. Disappointing. It's not as if anything van be done about this though....still, just saying.

OT: Aside from political parties' flags, other vehicle owners resort to other displays of power and aggression so that they can bulldoze fellow road users and traffic cops. Here are some -
1) "Media" sticker - meant to bully traffic cops maybe?
2) "Army"/"Airforce" sticker - meant to bully traffic cops maybe? I once saw a supposed army personnel-owned Eeco blocking a toll booth. The driver was refusing to pay the toll.
3) "Advocate" sticker - advocates here in TN have a devastating reputation of being cut-throat street-fighters. I know very well the purpose of these stickers!
4) "Merchant navy" sticker - I saw this one today. Purpose unknown!
5) A prominently displayed, outward-facing, illuminated picture of ex CM Jaya or of Stalin or Karunanidhi on the car's dashboard. This picture goes well with the party's flag on the hood.

Goa Spotting:

Spotted an hour ago - a Tata Nano - Damson Purple - Regn No : GA-03-R-0893.
Location : Mapuca Market Main Road.
"Redlining" sticker on the rear hatch.
Front number plate was scooter size, offset from usual location and barely visible.

Any takers??

Spotted a Silver TUV 300 Reg no. MH02...... on the Kolhapur - Bombay highway and then again on the Mumbai Pune Expressway on 13/03/2018. It had quite a few TBHP stickers on the boot and rear mounted wheel. Any takers?

Spotted a white Scorpio S4 sporting a 'Got Bhp?' sticker at Panchkula sector 8 market this morning. Car bearing registration no. CH....6819. Couldn't click a picture though.

Unlike cities like Bangalore, it's quite difficult to spot a tbhp stickered car here, and when you spot one, be assured it's a genuine one

Just a little offtopic. It is not refusing, Indian Toll Act exempts Defence personnel from paying toll tax.

! But being exempted from paying toll on the increasing number of new toll-roads is a blessing & worth fighting for.
