Not sure about an AC vent (possible, but needs quite a lot of changes). As others have suggested, you can first try a 12v fan.

Perhaps something like this: https://www.flipkart.com/otoroys-car...m4a695fa9b98f5

Since the 12v socket in Ecosport is always "live", you can just plug this into the rear 12v socket when your lab is in the car.

The fan can be mounted using 3M double sided tape (or screws if that doesn't work out).

Really? The Rear 12V socket is always Live? Never tested it. At least the front socket is not.

I have a 2017 Titanium+ Ecosport (pre-facelift) and both the front and rear 12v sockets are live even after the car has been shut down.

I remember reading about this somewhere on the forum; it seems all Ford cars have this "feature". :)

Never - ever leave the pet inside and walk away for lunch etc.

Emphasising this. Both animals and young children can die left shut in cars. And this has happened in much cooler climates than ours.

I do sometimes have to (out of no choice) leave him in car, but I ensure the car is not parked in direct sun and leave all 4 Windows little down as I have sunshades.

Please avoid this, it can turn really bad really fast.

If you must, then keep the engine running with AC ON and windows partially open.

People in the West are allowed legally to break windows if they see an animal or child left unattended in a car. And call CPS and/or police.

Is it mandatory to have a license for pets (dogs/ cats) now? Anything mandated by BBMP in Bangalore?
Pet people cafe keep sending me reminders that "a camp" s being organized for licensing your pets.

Not mandatory. Even if it is made mandatory for dogs (which is what the BBMP was trying a year ago), it will be very tough to implement, given the high percentage of strays in the city.

Its not a bad thing though. Micro-chipping pets, which is generally recommended overseas, might make sense for pedigree pets.

A close friend of mine who took up an assignment in Shanghai was finding it hard to overcome the lockdown and WFH stress, took in two kittens for company. He now finds himself engaged with these two and overcome the stress and boredom.

What pet do you have? Do you live nearby in HSR? Asking since Pet People Cafe is a walk away from my place, but my beloved little PE(S)T! Is a very wilful and opinionated child and doesn’t like going to these fancy places.:)

We have an English Cocker Spaniel :)

Yup live nearby and Pet People Cafe used to be our go to place, thanks to the cafe where missus and I used to gorge on croissants and scones while waiting for the grooming to be competed. But we have now shifted to Heads Up for Tails since their pet services are much much better. We still do hop in for the croissants as the Blue Tokai next door is average

BBMP has had a system of a pet license for ages now. I've planned multiple times but have never manged to get one for our dogs in the last 10 years. Now I live outside BBMP limits lol:.

I do visit HSR to see the vet and fill up IOC Xtra Green (HSR is probably the only locality with with 2 XG outlets) among other sundry visits.

ValarMorghulis:
English Cocker Spaniels are lovely dogs. Ears have to be very carefully monitored for bacterial infections though, in our climate.

Cooldip:
Do you go to Dr Ansar in My Pets Clinic?
Do you fill up in 19th Main Road IOCL? Or the one near Mantri/ Agara?

Yup. Have known Dr. Ansar ever since we've had a dog.

Mostly the 19th main since its on my exit route from Dr. Ansar's clinic. Sometimes Agara IOCL if I'm exiting HSR that way.

My big boy DoN
He is a 1.5 yr old Indian mastiff and I believe these breeds are as good as any foreign breed. He kind of makes me look small though, and I am a 6ft 80kg guy:uncontrol

Thats nice.
He has looked after all my dogs these last 20 years ever since I moved into this town. Earlier he had his clinic in sector 7. A very good man. He has helped me a lot even with poor hurt strays pups and so on whom I ve rushed to the Hebbal Hospital time and again.
I ll recommend anyone with a pet who lives in this part of town to go and see him only.

So I validated and in my 2019 Titanium, both the sockets stops working when the Power is Turned off.
