Any suggestions as to how to keep the Car dog odor free ?

One can get rid of all sorts of natural but unpleasant odours by using modern sprays to counter them. Rather than simply overlaying the smell with another smell, they work by organically digesting the offensive molecules.

This stuff was easily bought in UK when I lived there nearly 20 years ago. If the local supermarket did not have something to suit, veterinary clinics sold specialist animal products.

I don't think it so easy to find here in India, but, for starters, try the odo-rite range (Amazon)

We use the general household spray, and find it effective

My colleague is travelling to Hyderabad and will stay here for a month. She is looking for a dog boarding/ day care facility preferably around the Hitech city belt.

Can anybody share contacts of good day car facility for dogs in Hyderabad.

What a nice thread!

Meet our Leo - 2 years old and 45 kg of love.

He started out as a terrified traveler - would refuse to sit on my Polo's backseat and would stand with trembling legs and dripping drool for as long as it took to get where we were going.

He was part of the reason we got a Fortuner in 2021 - "so Leo will have place and we all can travel together." Refuses to jump in from the back and has to be led in via a folded middle seat. Sometimes he decides to hop back over the seat to the middle row. Sometimes he checks out the view from the rear but most times he just sleeps!! (AC vents have to be duly positioned)

A microfiber cloth and the odd ArmorAll wet wipe help keep the leather seats drool free :)

Our 1 and half year old ☀️Sunny ☀️

Hello everyone, Introducing Snowy ( Named him because of his colour, later he lost his mothercoat and became a little goldenish )

This is a picture of him when he was a month old

This is him as a grown doggo at the young age of 17months (1.5 years for people who don't want to do maths lol:)

So the story of how we got him is both really adventurous and sad . So , during covid ( March 2021 ) i was in my hometown in Uttrakhand and one fine day after finishing my online classes i got a call from my parents who had gone to the main market to get some supplies .

Me - What happened ?

Mom - You said you wanted a puppy ?

Me - Yes , but i was just saying it like that . They are a lot of work .

Mom - Oh , too bad your getting a puppy.

Me - ......... Wait seriously???

Note - I really don't get parents, I requested for a dog since i was a kid and when i was least expecting it ( Dropped all my hopes ) . BOOM , We got you a puppy .

After the call ended i was jumping around the place with happiness and excitement . This was a lot after a boring class of Nomenclature in Chemistry.

So , why did they get him ??

So , they were on the way back home and saw some village children taking puppies home . They inquired about them and offered to take one from them ( Because mostly these dogs are abandoned by them and they take them just for fun ) .

Then , they asked from where they got them and then they turned back to go to that place . They reached there and there he was , hardly a week old and frail like a skeleton. He was behind a shop hidden under the bushes . Mom picked him up and he didn't try to run nor made any noise , He slept all the way back home and till we got him to our courtyard .

His mother had died in the hands of a tiger and he and his fellow brothers and sisters were hiding in the bushes . They were hardly 3 - 4 days old when his mother died .

He had 102 ticks on him ( Counted ) , I put Anti tick powder on him and then picked out all the ticks ( They were the one's found on animals known as Atuu in UK ) . We washed him and gave him a bowl of diluted milk . He gobeled that bowl of milk in 10 seconds and went under our bed to sleep .

Once he had stopped eating everything , so we used to force him to eat and made him eat from our own hands . We would put milk in a injection and then squirt it into his mouth so that something would enter his stomach .

And finally after 2 months of taking care of him he was as healthy as Popeye.

This is him at 2 months old , Sleeping peacefully with the hills at his backside.

I never believed in buying a dog ( More on that later and my experience with dog breeders) . I always wanted to adopt a puppy who actually needs someone to take care of him . Anyone can buy a dog from a shop but to adopt one from the streets has it's own challenges ( No hate to any owners of other doggos , it's just my thinking , Everyone has their own choices ) .

When i come back home after a long day of tutions and school . The feeling you get when the dog whom you saved , whom you took care of like a child comes and sleeps on your feet / lap . It's just really heavenly . It's like you see your child growing up .

We have done many trips with him in our SX4 and XUV700
Signing off with this picture taken on a trip to Rishikesh.

I don't have a pet. But a fellow Tbhpian really likes this. It's got a lot of open place, plus they seemed quite genuine in taking care of the dogs.

If you need further details, please PM me. I'll get you in touch with the other Tbhpian.

You really deserve that reward. A heart-warming story of your care for the little puppy, now grown into a fine dog.

I guess credit is due to your parents too, for the initial rescue. I wouldn't normally approve of the gift of an animal without prior consent --- but it all seems to have worked out for the best in this case :).

Thanks :) , Actually that was a expression for humour. I was ready for a dog , but suddenly when i got to know my dream is going to get fulfilled i started thinking , Is this for real ? And hesitated for a bit because having a dog is a big responsibility. Well everything did play out well:Cheering:

We didn't know we were going to get a dog but destiny played itself and it did Play out well .

How many you folks have taken your pet to Ladhak over the high mountain passes? Did you face any complications like AMS in the dog? If you have any contacts of a veterinary clinic for emergencies at Leh please let me know.

Thanks

Introducing the 'naughty' Arlo, came into our lives during the hard times of Covid and lock down and made it happier with his love and naughtiness. He is 15 months old.

Meet our Persian Classic Long Hair Doll faced female cat, called Penny Hofstadter

We got her home when she was just 2 months old. The face and demeanour of Persians are so adorable and calm. They are a bit more cuddly compared to other species, is what the experts say.

I am looking to give away my 2 month old, male Beagle puppy in Pune to a good home

I had got this around a month ago but turns out my younger daughter is allergic to its fur somehow (she does not have problems with the neighbors Golden Retriever though so it may be breed specific I feel?)

He has been de-wormed and given a 11-in-1 vaccine already

If anyone is interested or had any ideas on how to go about finding a new home for this chap in Pune city then kindly let me know

Thanks in advance to all (Mods: Please delete post if not correct)

Follow up on my post, the pup is not toilet-trained as yet, attached are some pictures, he sure is cute

Dear All

Wanted to give an update on this topic. Consulted the doc for her allergy and he has given her some anti-allergic meds which seem to be working as of now

She is very attached now to Rex and is not willing to part with him even if it means she has to suffer a bit (meaning me and my wife suffer a lot)

We have planned to keep him now as long as her allergy stays in check

My elder one is also protesting and acting out when we said we had to give Rex away and even stopped talking to the younger one for couple of weeks but now seems they are back to being friends

Sorry for having changed our minds here, but he has kind of grown on us all in the 2 months
