I like the PONDS ad they used to air some time back. The guy painting the picture of the girl and song 'Khuda Jane' playing in the background. Girl looks beautiful and that song is one of my fav, may be thats the reason!!

oh.. am very sorry. I only relate to kathakali..the moment they showed wide open space and a guy in this outfit, I misinterpreted it as a tribal ( like the African ones the show in NG / Discovery )

I fail to see anything Indian in the Kerala tourism ad apart from the locales, people shown in a few frames and the elephant. The music too isn't native to India I'm sure.
Or am I missing something here?

I'm referring to the M.D. Aamir Khan Titan ad.

Please practice what you preach!
@jayabusa I have an interesting personal story about ICICI bank. As for T^T^ ad, its intent is to sow the brand belief into the minds of Diwali shoppers (alike: Toyota & VW ads) which in my opinion is apt. On the more tactical front its an inspiring message for the T^T^ employees to heed & deliver the belief. Two sparrow with a single arrow..

I very well know and completely agree with what you have said about the Titan Tycoon ad. I appreciate the fact that dignity of labour is being lauded in the ad.

The TVS Star City advertisement in which Dhoni carries the whole cricket team on a bike - should such irresponsible advertisements be allowed to air on TV ?

BTW, what is the meaning of - ramaiya kero kero kero mama ?

Ah now I got it. I was just wondering where I had seen the Dhoni wala ad before!! TVS guys have done such cheap plagiarisation earlier also - for Victor they had copied Indica's 'More car per car' as 'more smiles per km' or something to that effect.

Now there is another controversy brewing - the brilliant Kerala tourism ad, it seems, is a copy of another tourism ad - for Chiapas, Mexico( a stunning and even better executed than the kerala ad). Very sad!! The mexican ad is available Kerala tourism facebook page

@neoranjit : None of the Indian tribal dances have such elaborate costumes and make up

The one in which Dhoni carries a cricket team on a bike.

The background song in the advertisement is - ramaiya kero kero kero mama.

Similar thoughts here.

As a work of art, it's good and deserves praise. But it's definitely not going to promote Kerala Tourism, lest someone should come searching for voodoo and the like.

Kerala tourism, YOUR moment is still waiting
