Koramangala, Bangalore: I am using Hathway since 5 months. Got the initial set up done for 3,300 (3 month one time payment with free wifi modem and installation). It is a 50 MBps plan with FUP of 50 GB a month. I end up getting 35-40 MBps which is decent for the price they are quoting. No complaints till date :D

Thanks for the information. I also switched to this plan with immediate effect. :D

Earlier I was paying 1149 for 30GB, 2 Mbps. :Frustrati

Rohan

Delhi still has the rubbish old plans. They do not plan to offer new plans because there is no competition!

i pay 3370 for an ACT connection and I have been totally floored by the performance and service !

I am using the base ACT broadband plan in Chennai

20 MBPS - 40 GB per month --> post 40 GB, unlimited @ 512 kbps

I am damn satisfied with this. In fact sometimes i get even 22-23 MBPS and movies download at a real time of 1.2 -1.5 mbps.

Plan: CS50. Guess its available only in Bangalore. Its 512kbps post 30gb. haven't hit that yet.

I have been paying around 845/Month for BSNL's 'BBG Combo ULD 845' plan, which provides 2MBPS for 8GB, post limit it is 512KBPS unlimited.

How did you get into this CS50 plan? Do we have to submit a written request?

Please advise!

Thanks to this thread, upgraded to 8Mbps/60GB ( Rs. 1099) plan on Airtel. Earlier was on the 2Mbps/20GB(Rs.1149) plan. Funny how they dont bother to change when the price goes down but are very prompt to increase the prices.

Due to lack of competition, they are not offering 8mbps 60GB 1099 plan in Delhi at all!

Staying in Vijayawada now and not much options over here.

Paying around 2.5k for 20/20 and 200GB limit for Excel internet. Need something around 15mbps for online gaming and some higher limit cap.

Recently shifted to Hathway broadband in Pune.
Paid Rs. 3300 for the 50 mbps plan with FUP of 25GB per month.

The website browsing and youtube viewing speed is fantastic.

I have one question. I am a premium member of rapidgator.com file sharing website.
With airtel connection which was 10MBPS I used to get a download speed of 1.5 mbps from rapidgator but with hathway I get speed of only 150kbps.

Looks like hathway is restricting bandwidth for file sharing websites. Is anyone facing this issue with hathway? Are there any solutions ?

Does this include taxes , or is there an additional service tax @ 14% on 1099/- ?

You can use BSNL selfcare portal to change your BB plan. No need to visit any customer care office in person.

This excludes the service tax of 14%

Absolutely!

I check out this thread every now and then only to see folks in Bangalore & Hyd enjoying the true broadband experience at the right price.

And here I am paying 1200 a month for 1mbps when people have paid 12k a year for far far better unlimited connections. :Frustrati

I download a lot of movies, watch youtube so any limited plan just doesn't work for me. A 2mbps at about 1-1.2k is what I really need. :D

I am on a 15 GB @ 4 Mbps scheme for Rs 1300 PM with Airtel.

Recently during a vist to my BIL's home in a different part of the city, I saw an Airtel banner announcing a 60 GB scheme at Rs 1099.00 PM. (ACT internet has entered the area).

I got a call last week from Airtel recommending me to upgrade to a "special offer" scheme of 30 GB @ Rs 1600 PM. I asked them to tell me about the 60 GB scheme instead. They said they have no knowledge of such a scheme, and disconnected! (ACT has not yet reached my shores!).

Paying : 16000 Rs
Subscription : Yearly
Speed : 20Mbps
Limit : Unlimited
ISP : Five network
Location : Mumbai
