This is a fantastic book that starts from the planning of bombing missions across Germany around the time when the Royal Air Force was getting the upper hand over the Luftwaffe during the Battle of Britain and the US Air Force was keen on getting their hands dirty into the bombing missions. The US and Britain divided this in this manner - US did their bombing raids in the day time while Britain did it in the night.

The above is a fantastic book that provides graphic details of different strategies employed as well as the success & failure across these strategies covering
- bombing the German submarine ports
- bombing the synthetic oil fuel production facilities
- bombing the train yards and bridges across France, Germany & other occupied countries
- horrific bombing missions over key cities to destroy the morale of the German people (some considered almost as horrific as dropping the nuclear bombs in Japan)
- and many more strategies employed over the 2+ years leading up to the D-Day

Practically if these bombing missions hadn't happened, the Allied leadership would have never got the confidence to attempt D-Day.

Eagerly eagerly awaiting this series. Btw for those interested, the book is an awesome read (although there is a LOTT of information thrown at the reader).

Found it a good read and mulling over. One doesn't have to be special to do evil that Nazi's did. Such evil resides in many normal humans and could come to fore under various social, political and individual conditions.
