GD.
A person with tremendous wit, passion for nature, wildlife, photography, music and travel.
A perfect family man and a valuable friend. It is sad to know that we have lost a member of the Team-BHP family. His memories and threads will live on.

Pray for his family to overcome this immense loss and may his soul rest in peace.

Condolences to his family/friends. Its a rare quality that someone is both passionate and works on photography as he did, when he did.

The one thing I remember about him the most, how full of life he used to be. Travel, photography, tigers and his vehicle.

For an instant I could not believe this could have happened. Rest in peace GD. Hope the family gets the strength to bear the loss.

Never met or interacted with him, but heard a lot about him and read his posts. Another cherished person snatched from amongst us, leaving a void that cannot be filled.

C'est la vie.

Rest in peace brother. You'll be remembered. Our prayers and hopes go out to the grieving family.

Bcg...

...where art thou ?

Quite a few discussions over phone left incomplete.

Quite a few meetings which we planned during a possible visit of mine to Delhi never ever to see the light of the day.
Your long overdue drive to Mumbai and a meet with Westerners never to take place.

Can I ever forget my visit to Delhi and our dinner together ?

Can I ever forget the long conversations on the phone on every subject under the sun ?

Can I ever forget your tiger tales and snaps ?

Can I ever forget pulling your leg ever so often and you sportingly laughing it off ?

Can I ever forget your enthusiasm and glee in everything in life ?

Can I ever forget the moment this evening when I received this SMS from Doc ?

Can I ever forget the conversation with Doc, RP and VP confirming the worst ?

And a silent prayer for Mrs Gurudutt, your son and daughter to receive all courage, strength & fortitude from God to tide over this terrible, terrible time.

By the way, if I ever see a tiger in real life or a black Scorpio or a delicious veggie thali or a bazooka like camera or a handle bar mustache - can I expect you to slip out of nowhere and tap my shoulder and roar with laughter like you normally do ?

Go my friend, go...and may peace be always with you wherever you are.

RIP Guru Duttji.
He came across as lively and passionate person.
I really liked his travelogue threads, and it was evident that he had a keen eye for good photographs.
God bless him.

Nothing to say really. Very very sad.

Part of life is to acknowledge that one day we must all go, but when such gem of a human being leaves us just like that one fine day, leaving us all in shock. I am really sad that I will not be able to say good bye to him one last time. I hope his family gains the strength to recover from this untimely loss.

Rest in peace sir.

Heaven has surely brightened up with your arrival. God speed.

In addition to GD's posts on TBHP, i used to read his posts on the Scorpio yahoogroups as well. Loved by all, his jovial attitude was quite evident from his posts. A man of detail, he was meticulous in maintaining his ownership logs

RIP. We will miss you.
