@Blackadder the human figures are available as well, but I dont know if I want them, theyre not as realistic as the cars or garage accessories and look more like dolls.

@SRK they cost about 300AED so I guess about Rs 3K for the lift. Its a two post lift 1:18 and yes it can be raised and lowered.

@agspins I live in Dubai and bought here from a hobby store.

Its made by GMP not AutoArt. Quality is fantastic, I also want their four-post. Im thinking of displaying the 3.0CSL on it.

Cyrus, thats brilliant but you will need the ramp platform to run lengthwise and not breadthwise. How will you change the engine oil otherwise?

Cyrus, here is a little something I had made for my own cars. It can be moved up or down and rests on 4 rivets which move into slots drilled into aluminium rods.

Thanks Cyrus. I would love to add more equipment to it only if it was available here. Planning to paint that GI Joe in blue to go with the color scheme. Will also add some chaps more when time and money permits.

Modelart has just about started importing Yatmings into India again. I have seen the Shelby Cobra 427 in red being sold for almost twice of what they were being sold for 10 years ago. The paint quality seems to have improved but the mould remains the same. I also happened to see a Corvette GrandSport and a Ford hotrod from their Shyne Rods series. There were also some US Presidential cars and fire trucks. They were in the smaller scale though.

Another good news for all 1:24 collectors. Maisto has re-released the Burago range of 1:24 cars under the Maisto brand name. The notable ones I happened to see were the Shelby Cobra and Jaguar XJ120 coupe.

I never knew about that. Any news about more diecast coming to our shores is good news. Man, I was going into withdrawal symptoms looking at the pathetic selections at all the possible diecast stores.
