99) Your furniture is old and worn out and your display cabinets are in pristine condition.
98) You no no longer have to worry about oil changes every 2,500 miles.

91) While looking at your collection, you peek over your shoulder to make sure no one sees you talking to yourself or your models.
90) Chances of having atleast one corner of your house clean 24 hours a day is 100% in your favor, as long as that corner houses your display cabinets.
89) You do not have to worry about pollution nor emptying the earths oil resources.

29) All of your son’s friends know that they are getting a diecast for their birthday gift, and they have come to expect it!
28) In heavy traffic, you pass the time by seeing how many of the cars you have in 1/18.
27) You dust your models every day and then sit down to watch television that is covered with dust…and it doesn’t bother you.
26) Four hours of sleep is good as it allows you to spend that much more time on DiecastXchange.
Ready for the Top 25 reasons you know your a model collector?

22) If you meet someone with the same model car, they become an instant buddy.
21) You don’t have a living will, but you have a wish list and top 10 list.

17) Your friends think your a mathematical genius when they hear you say 1:18 - 1:43 - 1:24 - 1:6 - 1:1.
16) You don’t have to be rich to have the most expensive car in your garage.
15) While reading this stupid list, you will come up with your own stupid reason that is not listed and post it.
14) When you get an unexpected bill, you think of the models that you could had bought with the money.
13) You won’t write your loved one a letter or email, but you will spend all day chatting on DiecastXchange.

11) When you go to a car show, you go straight to the diecast section and walk right past the Bikini Team exhibition without stopping.
Now the Top 10 reasons you know your a model collector:
10) Even while broke, you will always find a way to come up with $50…and then blow it on a model car.
9) Dinner and a movie for a date: $20 Bottle of fine wine: $2.50 New model car: PRICELESS

7) Your doctor seriously recommends a hobby and you now have one that is dangerous to your health, finance and relationship(s).
6) Now that your a collector, 1 pair of shoes, 1 pair of slacks and one shirt lasts longer than they used to.
5) You don’t have a personal 1:1 of your own and it doesn’t concern you as much as not having that new release.
4) Knowing a new arrival is about to be released is all the motivation you need to stick out that stinky job.
3) You don’t have to be all that great looking to have the coolest car in town.
2) When you go to other peoples homes, you look around to see where you would put your cabinets.
And now for the #1 reason you know your a model collector:
1)You will laugh at yourself for being able to understand and relate to 100 things on this stupid list.

@MustangMan : I bought those cars in Mumbai itself. The 288 is mattel, the SL55 Safety car is Maisto and the EVO is an Autoart.

Very true. A big collection builds up from one and one by one. Be passionate about them even if you have only two in yoru collection.

My model store 'King of Hobbies' has shut too. They said theyre closed to move to a new place but they havnt decided where yet. :( Im devastated. Id eyed some 5-6 models I wanted to buy over a period of time. Anyway went and bought a glass shelf from ikea yesterday and its come out well. The garage display is superb. Ill take some pics and post. By the way thinking of visiting Exoto Tifosi at Ibn Battuta and buying my first Exoto. Ive been thinking about it for a while, but now Im scared these shops will shut down. So just might go today.

Go for the Exotos man. They are worth every bit you spend on them. Check out the Porsche 959 and the old Ferrari F1s
