I am also on the same boat as you, Shankar Sir. I am experimenting with what is available at home these days. Here is how I took the photo of the model.

Two little Fellas. Came in when I was away.
Mercedes Old and New. One by Schuco - the Classic 180D and one by Mini GT the evergreen 190E. Both in 1:64.
An Inexpensive Jeepy thing.
Can pass for a Jeep YJ or TJ or Mahindra 540 or early Thar. Lightweight but still says diecast and all.
I just saw it on Amazon and bought it.
Maybe I will mount it in my Thar. Or maybe I ll just place it in the car cupboard.

If it wasn't too expensive, certainly worth it. :D I love scale models and feel something is better than not having one at all.
On mounting it in your car, wouldn't the model get ruined after some time/years with the exposure to the sun? Especially the plastic parts. Happened to me once as a child when I had a Ferrari Testarossa scale model sitting on our car's dash which got ruined by the sun/heat.

Welcome to what is probably my latest favourite scale model! The Range Rover in 1/18 scale. Pics clicked straight after unboxing. More coming soon. |
This is cool. Now I know why you love the design language of the previous Gen RR. :)
On this topic, if BHPians can suggest any sources to get discontinued models from Centy such as their Omni / Omni High roof, 800, Gypsy, Zen, Esteem, Mahindra MM540 etc made out of resin materials. There are face-book groups however, people offer insane prices for them

Added one more to my Land Rover collection. This time its the Defender in the blacked out version, in 1/24 scale from Bburago.
…
I'll need to do a photoshoot with my lineup of Land Rovers. |
Beautiful model!
Carry them with you on one of your excursions, and capture them in their natural habitat! :D

Today’s pick - Rivian R1T

I have got a display done for my 1:18 car models at my new place, the older display also has got some space at the new place and is dedicated to Bike models now.
And latest addition to my 1:18 Car Collection, G-Wagon in an absolute smashing spec.

Thank you. I’ll try that sometime. Meanwhile, tried something local for now. :D

I had a Brabus join my collection in 1:24 scale. Shall post some pics soon.
I realised my collection has become quite SUV centric these days. Here’s a quick peek at part of the collection, which doesn’t include those in a smaller scale. These are in 1:24 scale with the Range Rover being the sole representative in 1:18 scale.
