That looks good. I've seen a few CAT models, but never seen a scale model for Volvo heavy equipment.

Added one more Range Rover Sport pre facelift version from the previous generation in 1/24 scale to my collection. Made by Welly, this joins the one I have in white. Planning to do a black pack treatment to this one to emulate my friend’s real-life Range Rover Sport.

Saw these at a local shop.
Inexpensive,
Relatively crudely finished Plastic toys.
Pull back action.
Overcome by a wave of nostalgia I just bought them.

Sometime back someone posted pics of premier padmini fiat and Ambassador scale models. Any idea where we can get them?

Black Pack treatment complete for my Range Rover Sport. I wanted to blacked out the windows too, with tint however I had a tough time with the tint application owing to small pieces I had to work with. Finally decided against the tinting although that would have truly completed the look. I also did a small mod to convert the taillamps to the more contemporary facelift version. Am quite pleased with the outcome.

These are supposed to be released tomorrow on Independence Day by Centy Toys.
I guess they will soon be available at toy shops near us.

A total of 5 cars are expected. The following are the other three.

From where did you acquire these?

I purchased these from Target, LA except the SV's SF71H, which was purchased from Amazon.

thanks.

Although I'm not a collector, I purchased a 1976 VW Golf Mark 1 GTI as a souvenir to commemorate the rich history of Polo :)

Scale model collecting teaches you patience like no other. Finally after ages and ages of searching, i was able to get the McLaren P1 from AutoArt in black. This completes my modern holy trinity collection (as they are called) of Ferrari LaFerrari and Porsche 918. Managed to get each one of them in the press car and Top Gear test colors as an added bonus! As is with my collection, these are all 1:18 as well.

Though no pictures yet but have added the following as well.

1:18 Ferrari Enzo (Yellow)
1:18 Porsche 992 GT3 (Blue)

During the good old Covid WFH days, I got a chance to build a scale model of a steam locomotive. This is a very detailed model and every single part is made from wood of different species. This particular model is based on ' The General' steam engine from 1855 (involved in Great Locomotive Chase during American Civil War). Building a scale model involves a lot of research - digging the original specs, spending hours figuring out the minutest details for each part from any source possible including books, websites, YouTube to name a few. I found the original spec and dimensions from this from a very old book - 'Civil war railroads and models'. This book went out of print long back, but I was able to get a e-copy from an online library. Once you have the specs, its time for math; using ratios to scale down the model to the required size, followed by weeks of designing, build and rebuild, seeing it the parts fit together properly and then final assembly. This took around 3-4 weeks to complete.

The full model measures around 50cm and the engine around 30cm.

Just got this Mercedes Benz original 1:43 V223 S-Class. The detailing is amazing. Much better than the EQC that I had posted a while back:
