This is pure class! Lovely execution in displaying his collection. Highly impressed.

On a much smaller scale I’ve been building my display case to add lighting and extra shelves to showcase my collection. The glass shelf in between is added in by me along with lighting for each section. I’ve been building these using Ikea products and by adding these to a wifi enabled switch that is Alexa integrated, I can also voice enable the lighting including setting these on a schedule. :) Needless to say, these sit behind closed glass doors.

Benny, just love that display. I agree IKEA stuff makes for some nice display units. I have a couple myself. Im planning to get a display case just to showcase F1 cars that I'm planning to build a lineup of

Thanks Dippy. Starting out as a complete DIY build, it's been something I've been gradually enhancing over time, adding in the new shelves as the collection grows, plus adding more lighting etc. I'm pleased with how it's turned out. :Cheering:

So I like have a very humble collection of car models but I recently had the pleasure to visit my friend's renovated house. He collects car models with a very true passion. He built a room only for his models complete with custom shelves, cases and lighting. Took tons of pics of each model but just sharing the overall pics here.

I loved the detail of each car, like this F40, the engine bay, the leather pouch in the frunk, even the prints you get on the actual car window was shown there! Awestruck by the details.

Wow that looks fabulous and inspiring for someday when I build my own house. For now I just got lazy and bought a few display cases made by MOREART which comes with integrated LED strips to display the Tomica collection. Still waiting for the last one as the Spoon garage diorama was out of stock. These come with flexi glass sliders which keep dust out. They can also be stacked and the LED connections can be connected in serial to each other though I think adding more than three might put too much load on a USB. I still need to figure out how to display my carded Hot Wheels :Frustrati

Some classics in that collection. The coolest is possibly the AE86

My W123 280E is in the last stage of restoration and repair lol:

(Norev 1/18. The oil can and barrel are 3D printed)

This is one of my favourite Ferrari’s ever.
I don’t know why but maybe because the 308 featured in some Grasim or Raymonds ad in the 1980’s shot at Tiger Pataudi’s Palace. And of course the iconic serial Magnum PI with Tom Selleck in the lead role.
It’s a wonderfully delicate and beautiful shape.
And yes, so are the 512BB, the 328 and 348 and all.
To me this is the essence of 1970’s and 1980’s cool along with so many other of one’s Teenage years’ Car Poster Pin-ups.

This is not from a big name model maker. Its just a small little 1:64 Red Ferrari 308 GTB from an unknown Chinese maker but shipped from Canada via eBay.

But I can’t help loving it all the same. I am decidedly NOT a Scale Model Snob and never want to be. I just simply love all Toy Cars.

I also got me an Affalterbach AMG badge; again via eBay. This is ONLY because I ve always loved Mercedes and the brilliant engineering at AMG.
I intend using it as an oversized golf ball marker on the putting green even though frankly it is a bit of a big round.

Inspired by fellow member Solitary Rabbit I also grabbed this Ferrari F40LM in 1:64 Blue Livery by Tarmac Works Limited Edition.
And I also got this Para64 Porsche Ruf CTR Silver.
I am really going to town on 1:64 scale.

That's a lovely display. Can you help me with where I can purchase this? Can do well for my Tomicas as well :)

Hi Dippy, I am currently in Singapore and got it through a seller who sources it from Malaysia. Not sure where to get them in India.

Finally managed to add the R32. This completes the GTR collection. Have all in 1:18 now from R32-35. This is by Otto while the others are all AutoArt
