I am also thinking of subscribing. Two rooms as stated by Samurai becomes a bonus. Even though there are just two of us the viewing habits differ. News and Sport for me, and serials for the boss. There are two TVs as well.

No questions: Netflix are the kings

@Josh; With Disney gone my grandkids will not like it. So I may have to reconsider. Who knows Disney may vanish off TataSky also!

Sir, Disney is not going anywhere . It is just finding another mechanism to spin off more money from us, this time via a direct and dedicated subscription service/channel (called Disney+).

Not sure on the launch date for India, but no service provider irrespective of the industry, would want to wait or stay away from India for long.

And with kids/grandkids loving every bit of Disney, don't think Tata Sky or anyone will want to let go of this new revenue stream

@JoshMachine; We are too old to have our kids. I am 66 and my wife 64. So the issue is our grandkids. Grandson is 7 and granddaughter 6. Of course we both still enjoy Disney. Disney Plus is likely to show up on some of the cable operators as well. Normal fracas.

Re: Netflix: Now in India

Netflix has launched a mobile only plan for Rs 250 per month. HD or UHD is not available in this plan. Number of screens that can be accessed is 1. Might be good for people accessing Netflix mostly from mobile, but still seems a costly option compared to Hotstar or Prime.
