I'm not a big Lakers fan..Glad the Celtics won. Is there a retelecast of the match? I missed the live action.

22 days to go into the regular season and here are some Pre season openers!

Yes ! In just 22 days again, NBA 2008-2009 regular season jumpstarts with the matches lined up as in my previous post. With this thread always in a vegetative state, I thought of just updating about some developments in the NBA and yes WNBA too.

Highlights:

1. WNBA: Detroit Shock were crowned the WNBA champions sweeping the San Antonio Silver Stars in three straight games. Its their 3rd title in 6 years

Game1: DET:77 SAN:69
Game2: DET:69 SAN:61
Game3: DET:76 SAN:60

2.Preseason Games:

OCT5: Pistons rout Heat 95 to 91 while Hornets sweep past Warriors by 106 to 103.

OCT6: Hawks visiting Magic and so are Timberwolves visiting Bucks to have their preseason warm up matches for tonight.

I will be giving updates for the preseason matches too going into the regular season else this thread will be as dead as a dodo .

Cheers and am routing the Suns this time with Diesel @ his best.

Minnesota: 117 Won over Milwaukee:79 and

Atlanta:118 Won over Orlando:101.

Tuesday October 7th has quite a few Preseason games

Lol. That would be me.

Everyone called him "DJ". I have no clue about basketball players, so to save him and me some embarassment, I couldn't ask him what it stood for. Thought you guys would perhaps know.

LOL, btw, I am not really sure. Wasn't this part of "Basketball without boundaries" program?

Anyway, you are not out of place at all. Any NBA match is sheer drama with so much action in the sidelines like music, cheerleaders, lighting, gifts from top etc.

Not quite sure if it was Robert Parish, to me he looks like Dikembe Mutombo (From Zaire) presently playing for Denver Nuggets I suppose.

Regular Season Updates

Hi Folks,

Its been quite a while that I have not updated the regular season standings and as expected this thread was dormant and hence decided to slowly put in some updates to get this thread into life. With almost 35% games played in the regular season, the road to the ring is slowly and surely getting exciting to say the least.

The current updates are @ the following link

Source :Nba.com and Nba Tv

cheers:

Wake up and take sides

Folks, time to take sides....The Finals!!!!

While none of my favs are in finals, I am taking sides with Magic.

I think it could be a one-sided affair this year, as Orlando folks could be too physical for Kobe and ladies. Also, Orlando has come through the grind unlike Lakers. Once again East is getting too crowded with quality teams.

I would support LA Lakers anyday.

I'm a big fan of Kobe (Shaq as well when he was with LA) and will always support him and his team. Moreover i am also fan of LA's biggest fan...guess who....Jack Nicholson.
Few years back he once evicted out of court by match referee during one of LA's match.
