Now that you have already mentioned it, the wait is on for the next Rajnikant movie. I am sure it will get beaten by a mile.

Anand, a TeamBhpian never makes a mistake identifying a car!
It was a Skoda Octavia with a mini flat bed. The floor caves in and then Vijay uses his teeth to pull the accelerator cable and win the race after a flip!

Don't even have to be a hero if you are Rajnikant's driver. Remember Ramesh Khanna flying a contessa over obstacles in Padayappa movie with Rajni nonchalantly reclined in the back seat giving him instructions?

Same if the steering fails. What a movie

And how can we forget, cars can get possessed by spirits of the dead!

Re: Automotive information...as shown in the movies!

Cars submerged in water can be taken off water and driven straightaway (ask Jason Statham the Transporter). Its one of those rare action series, where the protagonist belts up and insists others do too.
One can voice out punch lines concluded by 'Jai Chennakeshava' and make trains go in reverse
Have a flat? Don't have a jack? No problem, you can jack it up on your lap and swap for the spare.

Re: Automotive information...as shown in the movies!

Let me suggest a good one. In the movie Kurbani, if I remember correctly, Feroz Khan uses an Alfa Romeo in one of the chase scenes. He was definitely a man of style or was I just hallucinating.

Re: Automotive information...as shown in the movies!

Not able to post video links in order with the content but here's my 2 cents anyways-
(Sorry if any are repeated)
1) Stuck on a bridge with a blockade at one end and police on the other?
No problem, revv the car a bit till the lorry arrives on the highway below and then press the gas, the car will jump over the bridge railing and you'll fall precisely on the lorry below
(Transporter 1 starting chase)

2) In the middle of the sea with no boat and craving for a drink?
Add wood planks on your bike wheels and voilą you'll float through the seas!
(A popular cold drink advertisement)

3) Have an expensive super car and tired of using the lift?
Use the super car's mind blowing torque and speed to smash through the window panes of skyscrapers until you run out of skyscrapers , then jump out of the car at the last moment and let the expensive car crash and burn as it hits the ground!
(Fast and Furious 7)

4) When car is submerged under water for a good amount of time but you still need to use it cause you have to catch the villain!
(Transporter 3)

5) Can't fly or afraid of heights?
Attach a GPS enabled parachute on your car's roof and take your beloved car on an aerial sight seeing trip
(Fast and Furious 7 beginning)

6) Cops on your tail and you have no gun? Might as well use the helmet!
Cop car turns turtle in a jiffy! Easy Peasy
(Dhoom)

7) Blown out tyre and no jack? Better lift the car myself!
(A 80s horror movie I recently watched)

IMHO one of the best car chase/stunt scenes ever! No green screen no animation just pure timing!

Very much. Just see in this song as how much our Shashi Kapoor turns the steering wheel (from 1.55 min's to 2.40 min's in the clip) but still the vehicle (Willys / mahindra)keeps moving straight.

@2:20 above is just plain irresponsible. You're not wearing a seatbelt, you don't have a roof, you don't have roll bars and your guy is a nonsensical steering happy maniac - but you gotta tickle when you gotta tickle.

She should thank the stars that she is cute.

Well, almost every movie out there shows that a Car cannot be stopped, if the brakes fail. Perhaps they presume a common man's IQ is limited to this extent only. I have cited "Race" as one example (amongst innumerable movies) as the available space would fall short to complete the whole list.
