What drama in the S.Korea-Germany game inside injury time! Huge huge decision on referees hands now. Korea have been excellent.

Props to Sweden too for making that comeback. Exhilarating match that was against Mexico, who are extremely lucky. They earned the luck from their first two games.

Edit: The goal stands and Germany will be out surely. Defending champs to chumps.

Edit 2: Well well well, where are you Neuer?

Bye bye defending champs !!

My god. What a finish to both group F games and my Tata sky is not working!! Could only see Onefootball updates. HUGE upsets but both Sweden and South Korea have pulled off big wins today. Sweden topping the group and South Korea can return home with some saved dignity.

Revenge for WC 2002 semifinal?

Sorry guys, I just couldn't stand the non-humility of Neuer and thank god he was paid back.

Germany too is experiencing the champion's curse, see how many chances they missed.

And Mexico who was slated to be first in the group just scraped through.

What a set of matches this third round has come to. Now it is the opportunity of Serbia to dethrone Brazil, but Brazil is not having the pressure/laxity of defending the title.

So, WHO is playing well enough to win ? All the pre-tournament favourites - Argentina, France, Germany, Brazil have all under performed.

Portugal ?
Spain ?
Belgium ?

Whoa...what happened today ?
Mexico were brought down to earth and lost by a big margin to Sweden. Germany just needed one goal to get themselves to the last 16 stage and also put Mexico out, but what they did was just hara-kiri
The first South Korean goal in the dying stages upset th Germans so much that the desperation got to their heads and goalkeeper Neuer left the goal unguarded to play as a forward :Shockked:
Resulted in Korea getting another goal and Germany is out!!!

Germany is out of game now. It seems this WC does not support the earlier champions its time for the underdogs to win this time.

Portugal aren't very good overall if Ronaldo is well-marked, and Spain are a defensive disaster that won't hold up against half-decent finishing. Argentina are completely disjointed and Brazil are living off their forward line's brilliance, bar Neymar who should pair up with Ronaldo and try for the synchronised diving medal at the next Olympics. France look nowhere as brilliant on the pitch as they do on paper.

The unfancied Europeans; Belgium, Croatia and Denmark should do well in the knockouts. I'd like an outsider to win this time.

Germany is out! Such a thing is unknown in the German football history! On the other hand, it is also good to see smaller, less famous teams are giving a good fight! This world cup has been delighting so far!

Watch out for Belgium! They have been spectacular so far!

What about England, nobody seems to mention them. Are they a write off, as usual, after the first rounds?

I think tomorrow's England-Belgium match will provide me with more accurate answers. Anyways I'm no fan of them.

Neither am I. Want them gone. They'll be out next round for sure anyway.

England haven't been very good from open play, and the Panama result flattered them massively. They aren't going to get set-pieces handed to them like candy on Halloween against experienced teams.

Watch out! Belgium might even potentially win this World cup!

But the issue is that they are not champion material yet. Championship is unknown territory for them, could wilt in the final game of pressure.
