Lucky me! My work place offers me a free view minus traffic headaches of all the action in the sky at the airshow, plus some bonus views of the super machines as they practice a couple of days before the show. But, I miss out the action on the ground and the commentary, which was not so good a couple of years ago, still, it is better then cursing your way out through mindless traffic jams and the dust.

Guys,
Have been to the last 3 air shows.
The last one really sucked for organisation, the aam junta was shunted to the back of the base(entrance from the side), there was one airforce guy manning the entrance gate alone, the dust etc etc. Hopefully, with a professional agency like Farnborough, things should be better this time.
If any of you are real flight freaks please note this - at Garuda, they are selling a ticket for Rs 750/- and say that you can enter the static displays and even get to sit in some of the aircraft (hope its true). The ticket can be used on any of the days.
The air show is done twice a day 11am-1pm and 3pm-5pm.
Plan for traffic jams on the way + at least 30 minutes to park and get in.
Going on Thursday to avoid the weekend crowd, lets hope for the best.
Expecting 4 F15s, an equal number of Grippens and the MIG 35 (among others).
The sound of the fighters is awesome---only thing better is the sound of an F1 engine going past at full throttle.
