Somehow have never liked Karim's Jama Masjid, makes me feel like stuffing myself with grease at a cheap and dirty dhaba (the prices definitely dont give this feel).
The one at Nizamuddin is quite better.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Salim's yet?

The kakoris at Salims are very good and one of the best in delhi (not forgetting Ap ki Khatir and Al kauser here)....but if you really want to enjoy the Salim's fare more then visit their restaurant in Sadar :
Al-Zahid Nemat Kada.
Its located at T-216, Nawab Road, Opp. Sardar Mitti Tail Wala
The food out there is awesome and the methi chicken they dish out is probably one of the best chicken dishes in delhi. Veg is kind of ok but non veg is worth all the trouble of going in Sadar area.
Its at walking distance from Ashok and Ashok meat wallah
Can you tell me how to reach there by metro ?
Karim (anywhere) is very much overhyped.
Had a Nihari mutton some days back.
Its got very little salt and to make it worse oodles of oil floating.:Frustrati
Any good place to eat aurthentic italian food? I know of Big Chill in East of Kailash but that was 5 years back. Any other restaurants in Delhi/Gurgaon?
The food at karim is very heavy and rich. Even the place is quite filthy, though if u want to pack the food and take it home its still alright.

Try visiting "Earth" in Gurgaon.
I have stopped visiting Karims. Esp the Nizammudin restaurant chef believes that if you add oil food automatically becomes good. Flavor be damned
Karim's is a Nucleur Attack on your Heart :D
The amount of grease / oil / fat ( charbi ) used in the food is exorbitant. I have seen it myself. No wonder the food is lip smackingly tasty ( no doubt )
I have not been to Salim's ever. Will give it a shot soon.
When I was in delhi last I got Butter Chicken & Paneer packed at this place ( only delivery & Take away ) in NFC. It was not in the NFC market but somewhere inside the residential houses locale. I think it was called Mughal Mahal. Bloody awesome Butter Chicken - no oil / butter at all and absolutely tasty. The closest thing to Moti Mahals Butter chicken taste ( minus the grease ).
Pls give this place a try when there.
