Just called up Aqua - they are closed for lunch tomorrow, coz they will be preparing for the evening. Charges Rs 8000/couple!

Just Called Hotel Crowne Plaza - they are open for dinner as well as package kinda stuff @ 1800/person which includes champagne bottle/wine, the dinner will be placed at their roof top restro sampan. A friend had been there and was chanting of their awesome food quality and ambiance.

Last I ate at Sampan (4-odd years back) the food quality & service was pretty good. No idea about now though!

The earlier Softel Surya now crown plaza`s food is always good. I once celebrated my marriage anniversary there. There service was good.

You say it good, i call it fabulous !! Chinese is at the best and so good is their service. cheers:

I recently dined at Mamoushie(can't figure out the correct spelling), in the Sector 18 Wave cinemas mall. The cocktails are amazing and priced decently, they have full day happy hour on weekdays, and the food is also awesome. Esp the Indian food even though its a Lebanese cuisine restaurant.

Really?? It somehow never looked attractive enough for me to get enticed to try it out (weird name playing a part perhaps!)!! Will try it out next time around!

Even on weekdays this place is near packed.

Finally, went to the new Rohit Bal's restaurant - Veda in Outer circle, connaught place.

They had a special menu for Valentine Day yesterday. Veg - 1800 bucks. Non-veg - 2000 bucks. Drinks were not included in the meal.

Food was good. Ambience was nice as well. With its red colored lights and huge mirrors across the wall and the ceiling, the place indeed looks cool.

The only issue - service. It was lousy to be frank - very slow.

Guys the new F-Bar and Kitchen has also opened in Gurgaon. It's at the place where there is Mainland China and Barrique, I think it's called Cyber Green of something (building before Sapient)

Very hot place! Went to Mainland China too, was good but I like the one at GK II better.

Aqua @ The Park is my FAVOURITE place to eat and drink, period.:)

When I was in NCR I dined in The Great Kebab Factory in Radisson which had each better than the other tasty options. Gurgaon's Yo China was also quite nice. Some chat walas in Chandni Chowk and in central places are also too popular. These Chat walas can pay monthly car EMIs every day with great ease !!!

Guys Tell me some places where I can get good ambience plus drinks at reasonable rates

When I used to live in Delhi, my favourite places were:
-Nizam's in Connaught Place
-Karim's in Chandni Chowk/Jama Masjid
-Haldiram's before Faridabad
-Bittoo's Chat Bhandar (or something like that) in Rani Bagh
-Madras Cafe in Connaught Place
-The egg roll place in Chittaranjan Park/Kalkaji
-And Nirula's in Outer Circle, CP - I used to get a free sundae every year because of my grades in school and then I got hooked on to their other stuff as well.
