Re: Need to fly to Netherlands, but VFS appointment unavailable | Now what?

Guys, any recent experience with applying for Spain (Schengen) visa through BLS International? Looks like only Mumbai and Delhi locations of BLS are accepting Visa applications. Also, appointment availability seem to be about 2-3 weeks away.

Their appointment site seem to be slow and glitchy. Is it advisable to apply now for a travel in Nov?

We had our visa appointment on 12th Aug in Mumbai for travel in the 3rd week of Sept. The bls site is very slow and inspite of that I was able to book a 22nd Aug appointment in blr but the travel company booked an earlier slot to avoid Visa delays.
Had asked the desk at bls Mumbai and they said Visa processing takes one week.

Thanks for the helpful reply. Does that mean you travelled to Mumbai (extra expense) despite having an appointment at BLR? or your agent managed it at Mumbai without you?

If there are more members in the travel party, this travel expense can be significant (and unplanned).

Yes, travelling to Mumbai was an extra expense. And it was just for the two of us. Took an early morning flight and return same night. Need to get biometrics done so can't do it with an agent.
The appointment for blr was cancelled by the bls desk at Mumbai during our application processing.

Re: Need to fly to Netherlands, but VFS appointment unavailable | Now what?

Hi folks, so I have a visa appointment (Denmark) at VFS Kolkata on 6th of Sep. Planning to attend a conference at Copenhagen, and booked tickets for 17th Sep.

I know it's cutting short, but any ETAs on the visa approval from submission?

The slots are still bad, and last-minute arrangements made the plan doubtful. Can anyone with experience with a Denmark visa provide some ETA?

Does the walk in method still hold good? I have booked tickets for may and don't see an appointment till June.

Not exactly very recent. Most slots were available for Germany in early like just within few days. My family decided to travel in mid Feb and suddenly slots jumped by 2 weeks as earliest pushing to end of Feb for VFS submission. Since the recommendation is 45 days we booked Mid April travel. But Visa processing was fast got the passport with Visa stamped in a week.

I read the slots become non existent since March onwards due to peaking of application and holiday season. Check VFS website for latest. If you are in large group, try to find slots for small groups by splitting.

The earliest seems to be in mid June. They recommend to keep trying to see if anyone cancels. The chances are slim though.

Better to try different country, i have been hunting for a slot for my travel plan in May, unable to get any slot. Now thinking to go through France or Switzerland.

I recently got my Visa done for Greece, there were slots easily available in Bangalore and I got my Visa in two weeks after submission of documents. This could be a faster way to get Visa.

For those applying for Spain, I would strongly suggest to go for Prime Time facility which is available in Mumbai/Delhi.
The slots open every Monday and are booked by calling up the BLS Call Centre at 9 AM.
It helps if you are a group of 4-5, then they take the request on email and confirm quickly.

The reporting time is at 2 PM once the regular appointments are done and we were all out of the BLS Centre at Nariman Point by 3:30.
The Visa processing is also fast and the Visa was received in 2 days.
