I don't really like chases in modern movies as majority of the chase is special effects/CGI.

For me, Ronin takes the top spot. Bullit probably comes 2nd.
Surprised that no one mentioned Vanishing point. It is pretty much all car chase from start to finish.

As to this, my all time favorite is ronin! The scene is long, insane, fun, crazy and "best practice" as regards both. Driving skills and camera angles! Do check it out!

My Most favourite car chase scenes are

1) The Bourne Ultimatum(2007)

I have seen all the Jason Bourne movies and I love them all. They all have a chase scene and my most favourite one is the Ultimatum.

2) The Transporter(2002)

When I saw the transporter for the first time, I instantly became a fan of Jason Statham
the chase scene of this movie was so amazing.

3) Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift(2006), Fast & Furious 6(2013), Fast and Furious 7(2015)

No Introduction required for this. Most favourite car chase scenes

4) Rush Hour 3(2007)

The taxi chase was real fun. I have seen all the 3 films. Loved it.

5) Don 2(2011)

This movie was way ahead of its time, Shah Rukh Khan gave a great performance. Loved the chase scene

6) Ra.one(2011)

Another masterpiece from Shah Rukh Khan, again it was way ahead of its time. Loved the chase scene. I remember seeing this in theatre. Nostalgic

7) Bad Boys 2(2003)

I haven't seen this movie yet but I have seen the chase scene and Its really crazy!

I like most of the car scenes listed in this forum the one that stays in my mind is this scene in Ford Vs Ferrari where the there is a smooth transition between cgi and real scene. Whenever i watch this clip, I'm always amazed about how far the movies has come.

For most of all 90s kid out there, Transformers have been one that special movie which personified these machines and brought their Living side. These machines and our imaginations hit the rocks and we were crazy when the Transformers came out!
I remember, watching those animated episodes starring 'Hotshot'. Then came the movie, and hotshot changed to bumblebee and the story goes on.

Although the movie might not have been as enriching as others, But for me its kind of a childhood fantasy to own such great machines.
Movie visuals are too soothing. Those soundtrack, dialogues and actions. I still remember searching for Optimus Prime's Dialogues all over google and then revisiting those scenes. I can go on..

Its so fascinating to see these wonderful machines live a life in themselves and yes abide by the rules, to serve we humans! Loyals forever.

You are spot on.

I have watched this movie a couple of times, and I must again say, that opening credit scene, background music during police chase and that synth pop song during entire credits, all are of epic proportions. It is so simple and yet so entertaining movie. It is a modern classic and must watch.
