Gaming Consoles - the best ?

Hey NC, what games did you get? And only 40 bucks...dang! I pay 90-100 for mine!

Speaking of the PS2, mine plays pirated DVD's fine, but sometimes they have no sound??!! And my official DVD's (US region) do not play at all, nor do any VCD's. Any idea's on how I can get these to work??

GUys, I just dont have the heart to install a mod chip in my original PS2... specially after seeing wat prices u get the pirated cd's for .. I MUST B A FOOL !!! Anyways, does NYONE KNOW if v can play online with the PS2 and if yes how ??? I have 5 games ( Originals ) .. WRC 3, WRC 4, Burnout3 TAKEDOWN, Desert Storm, NFS Underground ... one is on its way .. COLIN McRAE 05 !! Once I get sick and bored with these I'll prob get a mod chip installed ... but till then these r wat ill stick too !!

YES, I am recommending that game to you! I can't belive you have not heard of it before. Infact, this was the only reason I bought the PS2 in the first place!

I believe GT4 is out now, though not the full version yet.

Check out this review on GT3 to give you an idea of what its about.GT3 review

just did ... the game is avial for 20 USD abroad but here its for 2K !! Ill just wait for someone to go abroad and get it for me .. the GT3 !! Btw where did u post the dli rally pics

If your PS2 has been modded then most definitely you can write the CD's and work them on your PS2. There are a lot of places you can download the games for free, burn them, and start playing. But pretty sure can't mention them here.

Grim, Like I mentioned earlier I cant play pirated games as my PS2 is not modded yet, and I dunno if I will mod it ?? Not n the near future though ....

Hey Rtech,

I too had brought my PS2 about a year and a half back just to play GT3 but recently sold the PS2 as I got bored eventually I dont consider myself a gamer but I'm intruiged(sp?) by the XBox and really want it bad but not for its gaming abilities but for the other things it can do for me i.e.
It is a complete media centre I mean there is nothing else on the market that comes even close to it for the things it has to offer for a person like, it can play my DVD's, Mp3's over my network, act as a PVR....

The games on it are also fantastic and as far as I know you can get them for about 150bucks outside also it plays PS1 games not PS2 thou, you can straight away rip thousands of games direct on the HD, man this machine has endless possibities.

After I have realised what this piece of hardware can do I'm compelled to throw my HTPC away.

Only for FPS and stuff like that. Otherwise the PC as a platform for games is dying.. Just compare the games available for the PC and for the PS2 or the XBOX and you will understand.
