I personally don't use any kind of plugin, the in built functions are more than enough.
What kind of output are you looking for, based on that friends here could help you better.

Hi guys I have a passport size pic on my comp. It has my name and date ( 6 months old) on it. I need one with today's date urgently. My scanner has failed me and hence I am unable to scan a new pic with today's date ( the pic is needed for an online form). Can any guru here please help me edit the date on the old one and replace it with todays date? I am sure it can be done easily on any image editing software but my knowledge in the same is non existent. Please reply ASAP. I would be very grateful if someone can help me with this.

I know this is a wrong thread for the post but I need this urgently.
