| BHPian  | Re: Photoshop/Digital Art thread wow guys i am so happy to see all the creative juices flowing. i do this for a living and would like to share a work which is atleast not confidential. this was an entry for top gear design your hybrid SUV concept. Right from the bodywork design to the technology concept is my idea. the tools used are Photoshop for 2D and rhino-4 and bunkspeed for 3D. i wont bore you guys too much with the technicality so i will be as breif as possible. if you guys want any additional info just ask.  So i designed a hybrid SUV. its a combo of internal combustion engine and electrical drive assist.So below speeds of 40kmph, the vehicle runs on battery and above it the IC engine kicks in. I know its nothing new! but yes there is a twist. the battery doesnt need to be externally charged. i figured that there is so much of heat generated from an IC engine, the brakes, the exhaust, hell even the body while the car is in the sun. So my plan was simple trap all this heat, convert it to mechanical energy by an external stirling engine, and then use the mechanical energy to produce electric. Phew! Also the eco list goes on like water based paints for the body, recycled material for interiors and plastics and so on. the concept was shortlisted and was published with the top five entries in top gear magazine. i dont know the results!
