Loads of economic and bandi type of places for food for late nighters. I have become too old now so i get home early these days ( around 2am or latest by 3am)lol:

1. Niagara, Hyderguda is open for Biryani ( take-away until 3-4am)

2. If you know chaderghat, near the circle, take the road that goes to Darrusalam ( I think thats what its called) and when you enter that lane, there is a restuarant on the right side which is open very very late. And, good food too

3. You can try out the Bandi Chinese and Omlette Bread at Kacheguda Railway Station which is open "24 Hours" & " 365 days" a year.

4. Another good bandi is Idli Bandi at Imbliban Bus Station. Hot Hot Idlis but lethal chutney, it can practically burn your tongue. Open all through the night

HSBC guy is good..and midnight biryani at a lot of hotels is decent. There's a place in Hitec city where there's a guy standing outside. He'll get all kinds of biryani and non-veg items from inside, if u order. But if there are police around, don't expect to see him there. Cant remember what it's called though

Ive gone there and I literally hated the food. The biryani had a few stones in it and it was not even good. I would personally not suggest anyone to go there unless you have no other option. We went for the bread omlette guy under the Punjagutta flyover but he was absent. So we hit Y2K.

Been to 100degrees today after many days. The ambiance was nice. Today evening being pleasant with a cool caressing breeze, it just added to the feel. The only thing, I was with my mom instead of my girl. Was her b-day. The sizzler was great but the platters are not anything great to talk about. Both my mom and me really dint like the platters one bit but the sizzler was great. The service was prompt too. Would definitely go back again for the sizzlers.

This Friday, I'll be going to another restaurant, this time maybe Indijoe or Angeethi. You food freaks, help me. Need a restaurant with amazing non-veg food and delightful ambiance to accomplice the experience.

BTW, which was the place Suren mentioned for south Indian tiffins? Chettinads? That Chennai thing. I want a nice place for South Indian Tiffins. Ive been to the Chutneys and Minerva Coffee Shop, so those 2 are ruled out.

hey mc, had a similar experince as sagar with y2k, so stopped picking up parcels from then, plus too lazy to come home and open them up and all. rahter would finish a grub somewhere and come home direct to bed :D

hey sagar,if you like the sizzlers at 100 degrees, then you will love the sizzlers at yoko's!

told you na, the roof top resto at celebrations would be one good choice for friday's plan

just back from palace heights, had a hearty grub after a long time, this is one place with hasnt changed over the past decade, and love it for that single point. even this is a good option bro.

indijoe is good for lunch buffets dude, skip it for dinner, try sahib-sindh-sultan, instead.

btw anyone game for poorna tiffins this weekend?

@ Avi, LOL - it is difficult to know Hyderabad as you do. But, I agree, Hyderabad has some amazing eating places spread all over the city. IMHO the eateries in the Northwest corner of Hyd (BH, JH etc.) are overpriced and overrated. The best grub is to be had in the CBD and older sections of the city. I propose a meet at Sagar Papaji Dhabha this month as part of our cost saving measures.

Dump the Poorna tiffins unless you want to do a lunch / evening tea / dinner meet there. No way I am gonna be dragged out of bed at 5.00 a.m. unless I am getting paid or going faaaaar away.

Methinks it is time to re-compile the lists already posted by including places mentioned in other posts. Any volunteers?

SSS is in the City Centre Mall, on the same floor as Indijoe.

Palace Heights is in Abids, not far from Chermas---I've been loving that place for nearly 2 decades. The same group used to manage the Viceroy Hotel (now rechristened as Marriot).

As regards to Y2K, I do keep getting stuff from there and haven't had any bad experience.

ravvs, what was the joke? totally didnt get it, and hey poorna is only good for breakfast and to an extent evening snacks, its a small mulgi and most of the eating has to be done sitting on plastic chairs put in a line insie the mulgi or standing outside or sitting in the car. so no option of lunch or dinner.

palace heights is managed by the same group which manages the minerva,bluefox,bleu,waterfront and till quite sometime back the viceroy.

it has a nawabi ambience, with food almost similar to bluefox, and as an amazing view.

@sagar:lol, even in the current form yokos is better than 100 degrees, didnt go to celebrations cos thought it might rain, btw where is a pool in celebrations? this is news to me!!

Not been there in 5 years.

I once had a weird experience there.

A bunch of us had just completed about 550 kms of hard riding and decided to eat here before going home. It was about 1:30 AM or so.

We enter the basement. The curtains part.
Sublime lighting and the place filled with the aroma of food and tens and tens of girls in minis/ micros and stuff that has a longer name than actual skin coverage.

We are looking like zombies.
Everyone likes a biker. No one likes guys with 550 kms of dust and dirt on them

The chicks are confused, we are confused and then one of us starts laughing.

Turns out those girls were stopping here after a hectic dance/disco night as the food is considerably cheaper than the discotheques.

Their boy friends kept giving us dirty looks though. :D

On the main road, next to Y2K is a small mobile accessories shop and then there is a cafe. That is the guy I'm talking about. Don't remember his name though.

Ravvs, I am all for it. In any case, i go there once in a week or two weeks. So i dont mind a lunch/dinner meet there. But, as you know the place is quite cramped but who cares...right?

Chilli Fish ( Suprisingly good for a punjabi dhaba)
Tandoori Chicken
Ginger Chicken
Butter Chicken
Chicken Tikka Masala

Last 3 items are really good. Especially the Ginger chicken, eating it since many years and till date exactly same taste. Though quantity decreased and price increased:D

ok so my office buddy and me happened to eat lunch at the famous 'Rayalaseema Ruchulu' -Masab Tank this afternoon.

We guys had:

a) Ragi Sankiti( Some kind of a rice item purple in colour which looks like a cannon ball ) with tomato curry
b) Gongaru Kodi- ( Chicken made with those gongaru leaves)
c) Rotis
d) Kodi Pulao( It was like biryani)

Food is amazing and super spicy..we guys had to order for extra tissues as the way we were sweating the place would have flooded:D

Not for the faint hearted specially nazim(pulsar56) ..
