What I have heard is that tickets are sold out at all SBI branches including the 1500/-. Tickets are also available at all CCD's [Cafe Coffee Day] outlets. If you are lucky you may get the 1500 ones as well.

For more info on the show and the tickets check this link
Aero India 2009

For tickets the link specifies that Select SBI and Select CCD's, but the irony is that those Select outlets are not specified

The tickets for the exhibition area for weekdays is Rs.1500/- It is Rs. 800/- for the weekends. No children are allowed on weekdays.

To view only the airshow the tickets are 300/- for the weekdays and 400/- for the weekends.

I'm going with my friends tomorrow on the Rs. 1500/-.

Sat & Sun will be extremely crowded. I've been to the aero india the last 3 times (2003, 2005, 2007). 2007 was the best so far. Lets see how this goes.

If anyone's going on the weekend, I suggest an early start. Also it will be extremely hot, so take lot of fluids and a cap.

No bags allowed. You can however carry a camera.

Also to buy tickets you need to produce an Photo ID card. The details are noted down before the tickets are handed over. ID card is also a must during entry to the exhibition area. The tickets I have also have a RFID in them. This is for tracking purposes. Security is supposed to be super tight this year.

I shall update once I'm back tomorrow evening.

Is it only still camera or video camera allowed?
Is camera/camcorder allowed in the exhibition area?

I have a general public ticket available for Saturday and may be able to arrange for a business visitor ticket for tomorrow.

Both are free tickets and I can choose which to pick ( or may be both)

Is is worth going for the trade show?
