A simple & super-functional Ray Ban Warrior RB3342, gunmetal finish frame & green tinted lens. Is far more sturdier than the tired & boring Aviators whilst not having that elongated curvature in the bottom.

After trying out a friend's polarized sunglass, I was sold on the concept. After seeing some very pricey glasses, stumbled onto one on amazon for 400 (not their cheapest - that was at 350, and looked flimsier)

took a risk and am happy to saw it works great (and is actually polarized) . drove to work early in the morning with a lot of glare from the sunrise going directly into my face, didnt even notice it!

Haha, I was going through the thread, saw 2 back to back postings of Maui Jim Beach and incidentally I have both of these :D

The first one though, in the pic shared by dre@ms work better than the grey ones in low light.

how good are these plain amber glasses for night driving. Anyone has any experience? looking for cheap options for night driving to reduce glare from oncoming headlight

I got a pair of those yellow ones from ali. Full UV, Polarized dhinchak.
They're pretty decent, and really help with full on frontal light assaults on the highways. Though, you feel a little strange when people do a double take as to why is he wearing sunglasses at 10PM?

These are superb. Made it Italy by Luxottica. 62 mm Size. For a large face. Bought recently on a trip abroad.
Around 200 USD.
Superb looking. Very comfortable. Iconic. Lovely lenses.

Very difficult to get this size in India. Most stockists have only 58mm size.

Great thread. I for one used to buy those glasses from brands. But last few years after realizing probably its all the same, i strictly buy nothing more than 1000 rupees. 10-20$ is my max budget and the below one is my fav.

Comes with multiple glasses as well as perfect UV protection. Yet sporty :)

Currently I have a regular (non-polarized) prescription sunglasses from Rayban purchased from L&M. Prior to the prescription lenses I had the polarized and loved it.

Would like to know the cost of a VFM prescription polarized glases. I am not choosy on the brands. I would mainly use it for driving. Given the huge number of Maui Jim glasses, any idea of prescription glasses in the Maui Jim range. I liked the Kona winds and castles frames. Also are progressive lenses possible in these sunglasses?

Why do you say that? I am to decide between photo grey and photo green, so would like to know your reasons.

In low light, I have seen that the green ones somehow enhance the light, which i havent seen happen in the grey ones. Try them both around dusk, see if you can make out a difference. Both are very good though.

Oh and one thing about the particular model, the connector of the stalk to the glasses is plastic and delicate. My son happened to slightly pull one and it broke away. :(

Of all these, did you ever try the MJ Sugar Beach \'ROOTBEER\' HCL Bronze lens? Seems it is best of both, with allowing max light transmission and also seems darker on the outside.
