@ Mission Safari - How on earth does google help you with almost no hints given by SS traveller. Is there a way to search the web by pictures?

I searched with the clues given eariler. Knew before i searched that this is a vishnu statue and is in MP.

So searched for a reclining vishnu statue in MP and got the results.

Very tough one but let me atleast guess the city first , is it in Calcutta?

Nope, Its not in the east, nor in the south. Another hint: The state is not known for its palaces at all.

CONTINUATION TO PIC#37

Dont know if this photo will provide much of a hint. Neverthless I will post it and then lets see. The river flowing alongside is more of a seasonal nullah than a proper river

I was guessing at the River Ravi, somewhere near Dalhousie, but then, as you say, this is the Beas. The waters of both these rivers have that typical ultramarine blue colour that I haven't seen in any of the other Himalayan rivers.
