It looks like Maheswar. It is a awesome place and there is a very beautiful waterfall on River Narmada near Maheshwar. MP has some wonderful Monsoon destinations which are unexplored.

No, its not Orchha for sure. I have not seen anything in Betwa like this. Lets see whats this. Looks like an interesting thread.

im posting the pics in the same sequence as my trail proceeded ahead day by day.

once again a picture can speak a thousand words but can it give away the identity of the destination. same destination looks so very different in different pictures.

not teasing but trying to make this interesting

well some more interesting sights to keep you interested.this destination much easier to guess. should not be difficult at all.

beautiful weather minimum crowds and vastly improved roads better amenities made pilgrims progress faster on this route.

That is omkareshwar - maheshwar is downstream. or so i last recall omkareshwar as seen in 2005 - the dam was being built and I'd come to the ghat from the side of the temples!

and not mandu - because mandu does not have that kinda big lake structure

Brings me memories of that great trip I had. Seems like there's more water now. Did you go up to the dam site and see the other side of it? Were you able to do the Parikrama? I was planning a trip in Nov again to do the Parikrama.

I haven't traveled much, so its pretty hard for me to guess the places. But the pictures are really nice. Keep them coming.

A unique way to start a travelogue-though not visited the place but was at MHOW- not very far from this very intriguing place. Keep the pics flowing and the guessing going-great job!

@ phamilyman you are correct mandu does not have a big sized lake so the quiz no 1 pics remain a mystery so far

we gave a big deep foray on a single day to cover large distance to reach into areas where famous kings issued their edicts. the area is full of ancient structures mute testimony to the great human spirit of survival and education centres from which emerged enlightened souls who breached so called traditions crossed continents and the seas to teach the world what india had to offer.im sure we see the symbols and icons on indias sovereigns
